I know no one wants to hear this but diablo's about destroying sin and bringing the world from it and Doom is about killing demons too and making the world a better place. But I also read my Bible everyday in the morning and I try to live my life the way he would want I dedicate 2 hours to video games and that's it for I can relieve stress

I don't feel remorse for playing Fortnite, Arkham games, Valorant or Spider Man. I would feel my spirit rise from GTA, or other extremely inappropriate games. GREAT VIDEO!

The Bible has countless instances of how what is and isn't a sin depends on your intentions behind it. For example, we are told not to be drunkards in the Bible, but Jesus provided more wine to people who were ALREADY drunk. The Bible tells us to enjoy life, as life is short (Ecclesiastes 9) but, where the problem comes in is whether we love that more than God himself. You touched up on that yourself, in the part where you talked about it being an idol. Just as drinking is not bad, gaming is not bad either. What IS bad is loving that more than we love God, and the hardest thing Christians face with any enjoyment in life is trying to find a healthy medium.

Amen! Yeah, that's the conclusion I've come to as I've read the Scripture and taken this to the Lord in prayer. Video games are a great, creative past time (one of my favorite!) that God allows us to enjoy, but it becomes an idol when we love them more than God himself. May He help us approach video games in a healthy and God honoring way! I appreciate your comment btw!

Cool little vid! and well said, this medium has tons of potential for awesomeness, but can also bring the reverse in the same manner. I feel that, as this medium grows, our kids need to learn to handle it and it is good to introduce them while we can filter and be a support in their play. I for one started to play with my Jr. since 4-5 yo and found it a good experience for fun and growth (even made a few vids on this myself :P ). Now I beg even a deeper question... should Christians make video games? I feel these are missing from the medium. I played That Dragon, Cancer! (and put on YT xD ) but this is not for the many. And why not use this media's potential to make players think, to present valuable lessons, to present God's realness, to let them make choices in the game and encourage for ones outside. So much potential. Keep it up!

How video games affect kids might be another video for another time. 🤔 There’s a company out there making a Bible video game called Gate Zero that I’m excited to see more of. I think Christians totally can and should make video games that glorify God!

I have a question can I play games like call of duty because some people say you must stay away from this as in the bible it says to stay away from evil and when we do it we get the look of approval for killing. others say you can play these game as you spread the word as Jesus help sinners and if we don’t do it the people playing these game won’t hear the word of god so which side do I pick By the way god bless you ✝️

That's a great question, thanks for asking! When it comes to Call of Duty (or any game involving guns and war for that matter) - I believe it comes down to a matter of conscience. This basically means that if the game causes you to sin directly or often leads you to sin, then you should NOT play it. Like my video explains, video games in and of themselves are not inherently sinful, but they can LEAD to sin if you're not careful. They can also become an idol if you spend an overwhelming amount of time playing them instead of developing your relationship with God. I also highly advise against playing games with explicitly sexual content as those are often gateways to looking at other inappropriate content. IDK if there's anything like that in Call of Duty since it's not a series I play regularly, but if you've played it before, then you would know. As for myself, I believe playing Call of Duty is fine as long as it doesn't become an idol in your life. Hope this helps!

Question can i play monster hunter. I myself absolutely loves the game and i never play it to much a day and it doesn’t couse me to sin and i read my bible and pray minimum 3 times a day but the reason that i am asking this its becouse in the game one of the weapons are called duel blades and they have a extra mode called demon mode that raises attack damage. So now im curious can i stil play the game becouse of that small thing? Also Jesus loves you al Amen❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hey Julien, thank you so much for commenting and watching the video! Personally, I have not played Monster Hunter extensively to know what the game is like outside of what you mentioned. My general approach for any game you have a question about is to ask yourself, honestly, “Is this game causing me to sin or think about sinning?” If not, I think it’s totally fine. Monster Hunter having something called “demon mode” doesn’t cause me to practice anything demon related in real life, but that’s my conviction. If you feel otherwise, I suggest not playing. Hope this helps!

Most video games are against God and unrealistic and should be avoided for that reason alone, but there are a few AUs and you shouldn't waste your time with them either. One exception is Microsoft Flight Sumulator, for example. But even such games should only be played to a limited extent.
