Welcome back to Cities Skylines 2 and our ongoing project, Circle City. In this episode, we tackle the challenges of managing a city with a booming population of 150,000 residents. Cities Skylines 2 offers endless possibilities, but with growth comes challenges. Today, we’ll see how our concentric road layout fares under the pressure.
Our first task is addressing the performance issues that arise with such a large city. Circle City is pushing the limits of what Cities Skylines 2 can handle. We’ll explore ways to optimize the game settings to improve our frame rate. Can we find a solution that keeps the game running smoothly?
Next, we dive into urban planning. With 150,000 residents, space is at a premium. We’ll be expanding residential zones and adding new infrastructure. How do we efficiently use the available space without compromising the unique circular design of Circle City?
Traffic management is always a concern in Cities Skylines 2, especially in a city as large as Circle City. We’ll be implementing new traffic solutions to keep the flow smooth. Will our new road layouts and traffic policies ease the congestion, or will they create more problems?
We also introduce new amenities to Circle City. From parks to public services, we’re enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Cities Skylines 2 allows for detailed customization, and we’re taking full advantage of that to make Circle City a better place to live.
As we grow, so do our challenges. The industrial sector is crucial for our economy, but it also brings pollution. We’ll explore ways to balance industrial growth with environmental sustainability. Can we keep our city thriving without compromising the health of our residents?
Education is another vital aspect. With a larger population, we need more schools and universities. We’ll be expanding our educational facilities to ensure that every citizen has access to quality education. How will this investment pay off in the long run?
Public transport is key to reducing traffic and pollution. We’ll be expanding our bus and train routes to cover more areas of Circle City. How many more residents can we move efficiently with these upgrades?
Circle City is not just about expansion; it’s about community. We’re adding new community centers and recreational areas. These spaces are essential for the well-being of our citizens. What impact will these new additions have on our city?
As winter approaches in Cities Skylines 2, we prepare Circle City for the snowy season. From snowplows to heating services, we’ll ensure that our residents stay warm and safe. How will the winter affect our city’s infrastructure and services?
In this episode, we also address the various bugs and issues that come with a massive city. Mods are a fantastic way to enhance gameplay, but they can also introduce problems. We’ll troubleshoot and find solutions to keep Circle City running smoothly.
Finally, we take a step back to admire the growth of Circle City. From a small town to a massive metropolis, our city has come a long way. Join us as we continue to build and improve in Cities Skylines 2. How far can we push the limits of Circle City?

one thing I like to do that seems to help is to remove the crosswalk facing the more heavy traffic-pedestrians don't need all 4 crosswalks to make it across the street to where they want to be. For some reason it seems to cut down on the jams a bit-not a game changing amount but it sure helps.

this looks like a quiet part of town… let’s add tall loud apartments. It will be interesting. I feel like that’s a slumlord thing to do. 😂😂
