I love Roma and Ranieri, but hiring Ranieri is a last resort, it's not that they did not want to get a big name coach, it's that no one else would even touch Roma as chaotic as it is right now, Ranieri is doing Roma a favor practically

@@eirakari as a rossoneri fan I'll admit Roma is not playing good at the moment but they have potential and big energy potential leading to goals.so maybe ranieri can bring that reality. I love ac milan but hopefully we and roma can become better so we can have great seria A again.

Stop asking “who are Roma?” The question is: “who are the Friedkins?” The club is in the hands of incompetent, arrogant owners who are totally absent and have no idea how to run a football club in Serie A especially in a challenging environment like Rome. They left Mourinho alone to shoulder it all and then unceremoniously fired him without a plan. And then they did the same with a club legend. At this point, Ranieri is the only realistic and best choice to calm the waters, get some reprieve from the irate fans in order to navigate the tough calendar, coalesce a team in total crisis, and demand urgency from the owners to fill the glaring management gaps and have a say in hiring the right people who can successfully navigate these waters, including his successor. I doubt anyone else would have been given the latitude (by owners, players or fans), care enough to want it , or be qualified enough (eg Juric) to take this on. And it’s exactly what Roma needs right now, for this year.

The problem with Mourinho is he prioritised the Europa League over the league, whereby the owners wanted CL qualification therefore the league needed to be first priority over the Europa League and Roma did not have the squad to compete in 3 comps. Mourinho didn't listen to the owners and that's what went wrong. He could have gotten CL qualification but he didn't want to sacrifice for the Europa League.

They should have stuck with Jose. Yes, he tended to prioritise cups in those first two years, but it was such a stupid decision to sack him. I mean, he was obviously building the team to the point of becoming a CL qualifying team. If you win a couple of cups and start showing promise, which jose did ( two finals in two seasons fgs! ), better players will start to want to come and play for you. Those US owners made a HUGE mistake: they didn't appreciate what they had with JM. They deserve what they have got.

@ yes you’re right but he needed to listen to the owners and he didn’t.
