Some interesting points but i feel that in order to question something effectively you need first to understand it, to least to a reasonable level. And is the natural consequence of challenging everything, if everything is based on the values of a given time, a valueless meaningless world? Which was what existentialists were grappling with in the first place? Questioning for the sake of of it seems potentially little more than contrariness...

Isn't phenomenology merely noticing feelings, thoughts, sensations or urges, beliefs etc - without judgment? Husserl being an important figure Ah yes - she mentions this of sorts. Existential Therapy - one needs to talk primarily to Professor Mick Cooper, - which I would politely suggest. Existentialism took a blow really when evolutionary science revealed that essence does more strongly precede existence. However existential anxieties about meaning are serious issues needing this type of therapy, which is why Mick is the guy.

Yes, it can but Idealism does it better in my humble opinion. When Nat uses the word socialise she of course means inculcation. That leads us to ask the question do we have free will.

I've never heard that word before - thanks Sam! Inculcation: the process of fixing beliefs or ideas in someone's mind, especially by repeating them often.
