Matt lost it while she was saying it. She probably heard an apologist say slavery was a better substitute for incarceration or another commenter say it was better to enslave them than to slaughter them if they were enemies conquered in war. I think she merely had to be shown from her bible that slaves could be bought or that a young virgin from a neighboring conquered state could be kept alive to be a slave forever when everyone else was commanded to be killed. Wake up, its all a con. Churches and religious institutions have been doing it for centuries now, at the very least. You convince people that they're sick, and that you're the only one with the cure. Not only will they fall for it, but they'll keep coming back for more, because the "cure" doesnt actually do anything. That would be like if I made a machine who has a secondary option and functions to make money and then I get mad at it for making money when it was installed at tilling machine how am I going to smash that machine which represents going to hell if I could hate it it with that option or function that made no sense like for real.

And also want's a relationship with us meanwhile at the same time had created each soul (hand crafted), sent the soul to inhabit specific bodies (that also god created and planned for behind the scenes) and therefore knows us better then we know ourselves. Even without a perfect knowledge of the future (so that's being generous to an omni god) why would such a god wan't a relationship? And while wanting a relationship doesn't sound like a bad thing since humans do that type of thing all the time however here the biblical god seems to demand it rather then be all gentle about it. So again this revolves around a claim made by theists that we all have a special innate knowledge about god that only their religion could unlock/bring to the surface (FYI this gets further complicated by denominations and what each of them have to say and preach about doctrines such as salvation etc).
