During the first years of attending school, children in the Philippines are encouraged to sing together in their classrooms. Singing seems to be part of the curriculum in the elementary grades to develop confidence and encouragement through classroom participation. Even those who sing out of tune still have the courage to sing on the karaoke!

Oh, do you mean the national anthems, nursery rhymes and such? Agreed, every Monday we kids line up to sing and harmonize as best as we can to impress the teachers. Even in Online Classes, our school makes up half an hour to see if we still have a voice and sing the anthem for our school. One by one XD

Drunk filipinos sing a lot once they have a karaoke machine. I know that coz me is filipino.My uncles would drink when there's a celebration then they would sing so loud that I can't sleep.if get out and tell them to not be loud, they'd invite me to sing. My parents would tell me to accept it so I won't be disrespectful. I'd sing one song then my uncle would give 20 pesos.

When I was a kid I love to sing. My aunt Rose always bring me to the amateur singing contest. Always getting a 3rd place because of my unique baritone voice. I'm a girl with baritone voice. They always think I'm a boy because of my deep voice. But anyway when it comes to singing 99% of Filipinos love to sing. First Karaoke machine was invented by a Filipino in 1975.
