Can Gayla Delve Fit Gold Farm Needs? | Guild Wars 2

Gyala Delve has been out for a little while now and peeps have been grinding out that meta. Now is this a true Guild Wars 2 Gold Farm?
There was a mad dash to get the loot! And some changes in patch notes.
I do this run ten times and showcase a few things about it.Have you noticed a difference in loot?

The fishing spots are a decent chunk of profit. You can pretty consistently get 3-4 legendary fish (3-4 ancient ambergris) from the fishing spots, which is an extra 4-5 gold.

with item booster, I cast 11times and got 7 leggies at most. But the booster doesn't work most of the time. 4 is average I guess.

it’s still worth it. if you’re not grabbing the secret chests from the infants achievement you’re missing out on extra rewards on top of your usual run. on average i get about 5-10 gold. it depends on how you break down your loot. if you farm the meta enough you can get an ascended chest that lets you pick from 1 sword or 2 different daggers. then if you keep farming on rarity ratio you can get the mining rig chair which sells for about 53 gold. most of the super rare stuff i didn’t get until 3 weeks of running the meta 2 times a day. again if you’re not getting the secret chests related to the infants achievement then you’re missing out. if you do the meta on average you have about 6 minutes to grab extra chests. but as i lead with commander tag i get everyone to pick up 3-4 secret chests and then after the meta i grab about 7-8 chests within the 6 minutes. you get jade lodestones from chests too. since the original update this year i’ve picked up about 9 jade lode stones from the map. again most people don’t farm like i do. but minimum you should be getting 5-10 gold. highest would be up to 53 gold if your luck includes the mining rig chair. the highest without the crazy loot you can probably get about 15 to 18 gold. still worth it for me because i farm wvw and fractals and pve events and home/guild instances so most my keys are free. you get what you put in and how smart you play. realistically what i get for 5-10 gold i can easily flip it to 15 with materials and other things they give me that i can convert to other useful things to sell on TP. lastly fishing wise some people have luck to get 10 legendary fish in a row from the ring lake. on the off chance you want to try fishing in the 2nd to last zone you can get legendary fish, but chances aren’t super great compared to the ring lake. but you can farm for exotic fish and exotic chests from the river and puddles. but most people again don’t grind as hard as i do. and i only do the meta twice. i’ve found about 17/20 infant chests but once you memorize it it benefits a lot. got a ton of unusual coins i farm and canach coins. per secret chest you get between 1-3 coins on average. which adds up if you don’t know where else to consistently get those currencies.

Better off just parking a character to fish at the end, yes its a little anoying having to fish between the haze ticks, but its a quick 7-14g for a few mins work without having to do the Meta

you dont need to endure the ticks, just pop a jade tech waypoint and get the mask from the base at the start of the map, then go into the underwater tunnel and get the adrenal mushroom to reset the cooldown of the waypoint

Def change was the lack of luxom weapon drops. I would usually get 1 per run before the update

I don't know when the change took place, but earlier this week I had 1 run where I got 2 chests. RNG for the win.

yeah but the luxon boxes now sell for 4 gold. it’s worth it. i sometimes still get 3 boxes

That is about 6 gold per run, how long does it take? it seems incredible low income for the amount of time it takes.

It’s been some time since I calculated how much each run is worth. I usually just tune out and run it. It could’ve been changed recently I’m not sure. I’ll have to look and see:

At the end of the first part of the Meta there is a cavern with fishing spots. I haven’t been to it in a minute now but if I recall correctly I believe it’s shrimp.

To be honest don't look good at all. LS4 meta train or Drizzewood Coast south is far better

Ya I think you’re right. I noticed in my ten runs others were saying the same thing. Hopefully they develop it more or tweak it in the right path.

The first week the unid rare drops was good, once a day a big loot. But after the nerf I think this map is not the best option for gold farming

@@cezzar1985 yep. Before the patch it was around 40-50 unid rare gear. Now, it’s barely ten, even by opening all the chests available on the map. The price of ectos and unid gear dropped a lot after the release of the map because of the loot rate, same for amber with the fishing spots at the end. Hopefully it will get better when the other part will be released, still better to make a dragonfall or drizzlewood run for now.
