This spoke to me. My husband and I started as best friends. Always together, talking, working together. People started asking if we were dating. I went to him and said “People are asking if we are dating. I like you, I really do. But, I’m made to be a wife. If you don’t see yourself marrying me, don’t ask me out.” We’ve been together ever since. He said it was one of the bravest things he’s ever seen for me to just lay it out like that. It helped him make sure we were in alignment.

This is so great . I wish this is how it would go for me but everyone says that it’s unlikely in the world we live in now especially since “I’m in college and it’s not realistic” lol

@@kylih3996 I was in college when we met. I was 21 when we got married, he was 24.

Good evening! I haven’t even watched yet! I have had guy friends in the past and still have guy friends and I’m a good Christian very close to God and my guy friends know that and respect for that. That’s a blessing for sure. I’ve made promises to God and I’ve kept them in my heart ♥️!

Man I feel this so much! That boundary is sooo complex to navigate especially when they are your best friend

Very similar story with my husband and I. We remained friends and served in church and when he was ready and was in a season of life to date, he saw that I was still there for him and we were aligned in the same path and the rest is history :)

No. Not most of the time. The guy usually secretly likes the girl. Or vice versa. If you like each other enough to be bruhs, you like each other enough for more. Watch When Harry Met Sally. And if you're married, absolutely not unless it's couples friends.

I'm not sure IF EVERYONE can have an opposite sex friendships. But I do believe the Lord calls for brothers and sisters to be family, and I think the evils of this world want to pervert relationships when in reality (with good boundaries) the Lord wants community, friendships, connection etc.

Sadie, I love you but PLEASE stop calling women girls .. the title of this episode is Can Girls and Guys..... I see you don't say girls and boys because we don't call men boys but it seems women are called girls regularly even by women. It is so demeaning. A girl is a female child or adolescent not a woman. If you want to use the euphemism guy rhen refer to the females as gals.

Well, technically, most people say, "Can men and women be just friends?".
