@iCanHazTwentyLetters Actually, my brother also has gluten intolerance. I definitely don't tolerate gluten. I probably have the Candida, too, but conventional medicine won't go near that unless you're dying from it in a hospital bed. I have Dyshidrosis, but mine was all the little blisters running together and causing giant blisters that became giant holes. When I stopped eating gluten, the itch I couldn't reach and the blisters stopped appearing. This isn't DH, but it is affected by gluten

@iCanHazTwentyLetters You see, the reason I want something definite is if I'm ever hospitalized again, I don't want to be dismissed again like I was last time. I pretty much was forced to eat all sorts of things that I really don't tolerate well. I usually don't have the classic diarrhea, so the hospital staff doesn't believe me. Celiac is often misdiagnosed as IBS, but even IBS can be affected by gluten. Natural medicine considers IBS as a less severe form of Celiac.

@iCanHazTwentyLetters I do have a complicated mix, but I do have IBS. One of those things that conventional medicine and natural medicine view differently. The only thing that they agree on is that food sensitivities aggravate it. I have problems with the entire GI tract being dysfunctional. From what I understand, it isn't unheard of for people with Celiac to also have reflux. I have chronic migraines and Dyshydrotic eczema, and Fibromyalgia. And, that's the short list.

@iCanHazTwentyLetters So, since I have symptoms and I have first degree relatives who are gluten intolerant and Celiac, I just wonder if I might be a gene carrier. In fact, since no one in my own group of doctors will go beyond the blood tests for Celiac, like, say, the small intestine biopsy and/or the fecal occult test, I'm considering saving enough money to get the gene test done. Most of my reg doctors do agree that I am at I don't tolerate gluten. My eczema flares up if I eat gluten.

@iCanHazTwentyLetters Thank you. My problem is that I am certain that I do have Celiac, because I have symptoms but I test negative. I'm wondering if I am also a carrier because my brother's son tested positive for Celiac, so he is definitely 100% gluten free. Well, my brother and his daughter tested for gluten intolerance, and I think his wife is also gluten intolerant. Anyway, at least for the one with Celiac there isn't a huge family squabble about what is gluten free and what isn't.

@iCanHazTwentyLetters Ordering Chinese food won't work when I'm sick enough to be hospitalized. I have to watch out for things like MSG and other foods that bother me, too. But, I do have the digestive issues you mentioned and have already done the necessary dietary changes. The problem comes from stubborn hospital staff who believe gluten free diets for anyone who doesn't have an official Celiac diagnosis is just following a food fad. They are dismissive and unresponsive and uncaring.
