How do you only have 728 subs?!?!? This is awesome and the production values are so high! You've got some Integza vibes mixed with some Michael Reaves comedy. You got 1 more very happy subscriber! Can't wait to see what you do next :)

I'd love to try this with ASA or Glass Reinforced Nylon! When I make one, I'll send you a video of some test results.

That would be amazing. By now I am a bit tired of working on this project myself but would very much enjoy others building up on it to see how far it can be pushed!

I understand how these are all material experiments, and the goal is not to make a better bow but to find the edges of 3d printing possibilities.... BUUUUUTTTTTT, man, wood is just such a good material, if you really want to make a bow, its WAY easier and the end result will be better if you just pick up some cheap wood with straight grain and turn that into a bow.

What Filament are you using? Tried using PLA+ or Carbon Fiber Nylon used in 3D printed guns?
@m3chs_makes3 ай бұрын
Its just regular PLA. It has much more wood like characteristics. I am quite sure that going beyond 20kg of draw weight with just PLA is possible but for now I am a bit tired of bows.

If the arrow is a HEX shape and it is PRINTED. Put a 10-15% TWIST ont he HEX shape. That will help impart spin and accuracy. A real life Boyeur I met angled his fletching by 10% on the back making a 'rifling' effect. Was very cool. For the 'String' I would try and 3d print several strands and just weave them, like you would twine. This is very cool. I do not want to crap on the engineering accomplishments of this but it makes me think how far is it really from a PVC bow?

i think the real arrows you used are bit to heavy! and you should also use feather fletching on the real arrows so the dont strike the bow . and you should use a proper string . thank me later

The fletchings of the 3d printed arrows are terribly underprenounced.
