Gen 4 truly did wonders for the poison type, introducing some of its coolest with Roserade, Drapion and Skuntank - with the latter 2 also resisting Psychic. Loved this challenge, especially in this gen! :)

This video is amazing. I can't tell how how much I liked it. The poison type is very cool, and as a Nuzlocker myself, I think that Crobat, Skuntank, and Drapion are insane carries, Crobat helping with Skuntank's and Drapion's weakness, and Drapion and Skuntank being immune to Psychic. Roserade is really solid, and I think that it deserves more love. It is a really solid special attacker. Also, if you would like to try a harder challenge, try playing HeartGold or SoulSilver using only normal types. It should put up a great challenge! :D

Tried this on Brilliant Diamond. I finished it, but the beginning was a bit more difficult since Budew only can learn Abosrb, Growth, Stun Spore and Worry Seed until it evolves. The lack of Mega Drain at 14 made it difficult. And naturally, it was easier toward the end game since your mons can just shake off status ailments/survive KOs based off friendship. Wish you could turn that shit off.

36:12 The reason your Tentacruel got outsped was because the Nature was likely Hasty or another speed-based Nature. Heck, even the Global Link event Garchomp distributed back then was randomized in terms of its natures, so maybe next time, plan around that possibility. Because a Garchomp with Hasty would put the Speed at 176, which is over Tentacruel's 171

Love the video, poison type is my personal favorite type; super diverse! During my run of gen 4 I ended up walking around for 50,000 steps after catching Zubat and Budew so they would evolve with friendship. Awesome content as always :)

I remember using a crobat in my platinum nuzlocke (I didn’t post it on KZbin because l don’t have any content) and the moment zubat evolved into a golbat it evolved again instantly only after one battle (must’ve been the steps) and yes it survived until the league (it does at the Cynthia battle don’t worry it didn’t die during any of the league members)

I used a crobat in Shinning pearl Nuzlocke and help out a ton in the league i legit cried when he died to cythina :(. funny enough her hardest mons was mitotic and garchomp but if didn't have him that garchomp would have murdered me. blizzard(Flostlass),crobat(psn), Play rough azumarril) I only had two survivors: Azumarril and Octtillary. Crobat will always be a legend to me and using one in arcues right now and will use on it either scarlet or velvet if it availby .

I broke the game clock on my Emerald Cartridge. A feat that was definitely helped by the inclusion of a competitive-lite post game content with challenging opponents that provided 100s of extra hours of content yet somehow has never reappeared in any meaningful form in any Pokemon game since. And no I don't count battle tower and Battle Maison because those are basically half assed pieces of content in comparison to the range of content provided by the Battpe Frontier

I feel like in the Candice fight, you should've prepared better for Avalanche even w/o the crit chance lol. And you probably should've switched to Tentacruel since he resists Avalanche, and then double switched into Skuntank to take a weak Avalanche. Great video as always though!

Golbat/crobat is easily one of THE best Pokémon you can have in any nuzlocke. Great typing, amazing coverage, the ability to go offensive or defensive equally as well, and is faster than like 90% of pokemons.

Honestly Volkner could still do the baton pass and agility boost with Jolteon. Only thing he probably couldn't do is Nasty Plot. He'd have to substitute that for a different Special Attack boost move. Or substitute it for a move that lowers special defense instead. Such as Fake Tears or something.
