Auri Fomo It's almost as if some people play these games more for their own entertainment and less for your sadistic pleasure? "Can't handle the challenge" as he has to do 6 runs for this one video. It was challenging enough without handing your rival a super effective powerhouse like Infernape. Some people just don't ask for an added challenge, and it's fine. I'd rather watch someone actually having fun, rather than being a constant ball of stress or frustration because of an optional and unnecessary choice. Sorry if you were just goofing around, but honestly it gets super annoying to see all these "I'm better than this Nuzlocker because of this thing I'd do/saw others do" comments. Like are you actually a pro nuzlocker, or do you just watch other people do them? Are you giving good constructive criticism, or are you just trying to make someone feel bad?
@aurifomo6385
@aurifomo6385 3 жыл бұрын
@@yesterdaystomorrow5510 "Some people just don't ask for an added challenge, and it's fine" so you agree with me, he can't handle the challenge. Not my fault if people get offended over an objective truth. If he is satisfied with the challenge he poses to himself, then he'd just agree with my comment and move on. There are loads of videogame challenges, pokemon related or not, that are way too hardcore for me so one could say "I can't handle it" and I would never dream of getting offended about it. If my comment makes anyone feel bad maybe it's their problem for not being able to come to term with their skills or lack thereof? :)

Just to let it be known *just* how unlucky he got in this video: Enemy crits (non-boosted odds): 16 Enemy crits (boosted odds): 8 (3 in one battle) 95% accurate move misses: 4 Misses via accuracy drops: 2 Enemy Hypnosis hits: 3 (all in one battle) Self-hits via confusion: 8 10% add-ons from damaging moves (Bite flinches, Psybeam confusions, Defense drops, etc.): 7 Keep in mind this is only what can be shown in the video, there's probably a lot more across all Silph's attempts, and this doesn't include other things like Candice's Medicham plays or Barry's stupid AI in the double battle. Safe to say, I fully respect Silph's ability to keep going through all these failures, a dedication that I wish I had.

This video is pretty big proof of how a run can be dead long before it actually is. So many plays had to be made around the fact that Staraptor with Close Combat/Intimidate wasn't there, and Bibarel's movepool + water typing. While the bad luck was the run killer in the end, the fact is there just were many improvements to make. While you had strategies, those early losses lead to the snowball effect of having to play around more pokemon leading to more opportunities for crits leading to the loss.

I don't think I've seen such an unlucky attempt as this one, you really weren't favoured by the RNG at all! Good runs though, it was entertaining and disheartening at the same time.

Best part of the run is Chatot's player side sprite just sitting there. It looks like it knows that so much had to go wrong for it to be called into action.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for not refacing the champion to "beat" the run. Half of the thrill of nuzlockes is the ability to fail. So many other KZbinrs don't recognize this and just say side step that aspect altogether. Sucks you weren't able to complete the run, but I'm happy you left the true ending intact

12:18 you do realize dragon rage does set 40 damage right, it couldn’t do any more regardless of your reflect

Sorry I'm not sure what you're referring to? None of Maylene's Pokemon have Dragon Rage (but yes, I'm aware it does 40). I did say 'Drain Punch' though, unless you've got the wrong timestamp there

This normal type run was anything but normal, holy shit that rng. 3 crits, 3 hypnosis hits... and the luckiest part was still you hitting the focus blast.

@@SilphSpectre basically, yeah, duh, why else would it use dragon rage over its other moves? It's a pretty meaningless statement
@SilphSpectre
@SilphSpectre 3 жыл бұрын
@@maxinesenior596 I was merely stating that I figured the most it could bring us to is 4HP *before* it made a move, thereby explaining my rationale for remaining in and not switching, and it turned out that this assumption was indeed correct. For some reason you seem to be thinking retrospectively, saying "Oh well he used x, so obviously that was the most he could do!" when I had not seen that he used x at the time.

I think a fun idea for a run would be a run where you pick a route and you can only get Pokémon from that route. So like the first time you enter the route you have as many balls as you can carry and once you’re out of balls then your done. Then you could go back to the PC and choose which specific Pokémon you want and just release all the dupes. Maybe add a starter clause so that you can use your starter and only your starter until you get to the route.
