Rhyme plays only FIRE monsters and Tyree plays only WIND monsters. These attributes have basically no meta cards so I think you could make some unique decks with niche and underused powerful cards.

I don't know about wind by fire/pyro 100% have meta decks you can use.

A really cool idea would be that you can only play one spell in your hand and all others need to be set for a turn b4 they can be activated and then both rhyme and Tyree add 3 heavy storms and mystical space typhoons into their decks

I know you’ve done GOAT with hand traps before but I think seeing a version a of GOAT where you are allowed a play set of a single modern staple could be fun (ash, trip tac talent, etc.) still balanced in a set pass format but allows for just a bit more counter play

This ones my personal favourite for classic friendly duels. Shadow Game. Both players run Seal of Orichalcos. You can't inflict damage or Attack until Seal of Orichalcos is on the field, both players agree not to remove or negate the field spell.

Pyros i have been messing around with a banish pyro list with gran maju and return from a different dimmension with a big pyro boss that banishes pyros from grave i havent tested it but seemed cool to me and harpies I always thought were cool that or aquas legendary ocean to get out 5 star 2400 attacks for a normal summon went pretty crazy when me and my friends played goat this weekend

Ayo rhyme my friends and I have started playing a format similar to commander from magic. Battalion format: - 60 card deck - 3 in your extra deck - only one of each card - each card in your deck must match one of the arc types or type of the monsters in your extra deck. - spells traps and monsters without extra deck support are ok to use if they don’t fall under the previous conditions (pot of greed, mst, mirror force) - you can use the extra deck monsters (if you play in person and your extra deck monster(s) are in the graveyard or banished they return to your extra deck at the beginning of your next draw phase)

I think it'd be awesome for you guys to pick some character decks but you get to update them and swap out 5 bad cards with 5 modern cards. Imagine a Toon dekc but with Toon Kingdom and Comic Hand and so on, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno and the Evo Pills for Rex, Coccoon of Ultra Evolution for Weevil and so on. The modern cards you add in have to be direct support for the deck your eplayign though. No adding in random XYZ just to make Zeus or anything like that.

Run your standard Goat decks but add some random cards from future releases. Like 1 random bystial in deck. 1-2 Parlor/Kitchen Dragonmaid + the big dragon variant. Pankratops/Fenrir. Etc. you'd each get to add... say a total of 5 Future cards. Then we see what happens in the duel :D
