Can I Beat Dark Souls Using Only Somersaults? (at the Minimal Stats)

Can you beat Dark Souls using only the Abyss Greatsword R2 spin attack just like Artorias himself?
And of course while wearing his armor, BUT without leveling up beyond what is strictly necessary to meet the stat requirements of the weapon (SL27). Well... this DS1 challenge run turned out to be really flipping hard!

The Elizabeth Mushrooms are so OP they actually make face-tanking the 4 kings on NG+ at sl1 barely possible Still requires their AI to play along like yoh were experiencing, but it's possible(NG+ also means you get 8 mushrooms instead of 4)

Huge respect for continuing this run after SO much trouble! I recently, finally, got all the achievements for DS Remastered on Steam, and I am NEVER playing this game again without mods, it is just TOO tough for me without being able to adjust more than I can in the base game. On the other hand, I played over 600 hours of DS2 on steam with no mods and really enjoy it, so! Nothing can be "right" for everyone!

@@PressContinue The first one I ever used for DS1 was a really basic "damage reduction" so that I could actually WIN against Artorias, cuz the run-back was SO tough, I kept using half my Estus on the way. I did one play-thru with Better Bonfires for the fast travel, that was a good one. Then I discovered DS Gadget, which has literally everything I could want - item spawn and warp-anywhere and no-death cheats! Someday I'd like to do an item-randomizer run, but I'll have to wait for the frustration to wear off lol

I'm actually doing a high SL playthrough to NG+7 right now(currently on ng+6) and the abyss greatsword has kinda become my default weapon ngl You can't buff it which sucks but the chaos scaling makes it actually stronger than the claymore by like 40 AR. If it's stat requirements didn't suck it would probably be really popular in pvp

I didn't know you could dodge the reverse magic blast by standing right next to Manus...that's why I love these games, each playthrough I watch teaches me new things about the mechanics, the lore, or the development of From games...As well as the personality of the runners, which actually reminds me of characters like Solaire and Seigmeyer, the light in the darkness and complexity that is these games...it's very meta, the people who give up and never complete the game are the hollows and bodies you find souls and other items on...(BTW, I'm on NG+5 on DS, NG+7 on DS2, finished Sekiro, and have watched dozens of DeS, DS3, and BB plays, but alas, never owned a PS3/4)... I only found your channel recently, so I don't know if you've done it, but maybe a DS2 challenge run in NG+? (Bonus points if you drop all your items from NG when starting) One thing I respect about the "B-Team" is that if you actually liked how they designed the first playthrough, they will double down and troll you with red phantoms in NG+...lol...I personally love it (They do also give you some extra lore tidbits to compensate for us crazy nerds)...but then again, I'm a bit of a masochist...heh heh heh...OH Ho! Wait, wait, wait...you want an INSANE challenge? Try for TRUE 100% items in DS2...It's technically impossible without modding as there are four weapons with skin swaps that were timed exclusives, but that's not what I mean, there are two rings, one requires you beat the game without dying, the other requires you beat the game without resting at a bonfire (Again, bonus points if you get them on the same playthrough, I still don't have them on NG+7, but I screwed myself, it's better to get on NG, as there are no BS red phantoms, but you only have starting equip, so maybe just NG+1)...hah ha hah... LOL, "Don't try this at home..." but your comments make me wonder, what if Artorias had defeated Manus and Gwyn? In the state he was in, I think he would have chosen the Dark Lord ending (Especially if he had to kill Sif, since she wouldn't give the covenant back, seeing him corrupted, as IIRC the ring is just a symbol of a pact made between Artorias, Sif, and the denizens of the Abyss, probably including Kaathe)..."Even though he was not human, he saw the inevitability of the dark and the age of man in that abyss, so he saw no other recourse but to embrace it, having witnessed first-hand what the age of fire meant and that he had to end the suffering of the one whom he held in esteem over all with his own hand..."
