This is going to be a long read but hear me out. You should try Fireclaw Bear. I just finished my hardcore solo self found Fireclaw Bear and it was a blast of fun. It will change your perspective on the Werebear. My only request (if you do this run) is that you put 5 points in Shock Wave to get 4 second stun. And 1 point in Carrion Vine as soon as possible - it will help you recover life since life leech is a problem. Shock Wave the monsters, Fireclaw them down and repeat Shockwave. I was surprised Fire Immunes do go down with Fireclaw because the crushing blow(Obedience or Black Runeword) Venom from Treachery, and my Merc. Lycanthropy 10 Fireclaw 20 Firestorm 20 Molten Boulder 20 Shock Wave 5 Oak Sage 12 Summon Grizzly 1 Carrion Vine 1 (One Point Wonder) 1 point in Werebear, Werewolf, Feral Rage, Maul, ect Weapon - Obedience (Polearm) Helm - Rockstopper Chest - Treachery Gloves - Death's Hand Belt - Death's Guard Boots - Natalya's Soul Amulet - Angelic Wings Rings - Angelic Halo and Random Rare Ring Secondary Weapon - Fleshrender and Spirit Shield Mercenary - Holy Freeze (But I was using Blessed Aim before I got myself Obedience) Weapon - Insight Helm - Bulwark Runeword Chest - Treachery I never knew how good 1 point Carrion Vine is for a Werebear. Shockwave help keep everyone alive. But you will resummon the Vine a lot. You can transform from Werebear to Werewolf directly without going to human form. I use both forms but I mainly stick to Werebear. You will find out why in your playthrough. I max Fireclaw and it's synergies first. But make sure you have 5 points in Shock Wave in Nightmare. The build gets fun once you have Insight on your Act 2 Blessed Aim Mec. Oak Sage was the very last skill after I max everything else. Make the "Leaf" Rune word starting out (damage and mana per kill). And I look forward to see your style and skill points allocations if you ever do a Fireclaw run. Good luck Ps. My Zeal Paladin died at level 89... RIP 99 goals. So now I'm trying 99 Fireclaw Bear.

Well, with you making this a superchat and me appreciating that. The fireclaw bear has just jumped up to being the next video that is getting recorded. Thank you! I'll spec it like you want it, because that's basically how I would build it as well. My gear will be a lot worse than what you mentioned though, but I remember swinging around a 6 shael socketed phase blade in LoD while smashing 10k+ fire damage. Rip Zealot :( What did he end up going down to? Good luck on the 99 fireclaw bear!

@@thenuclearrabbit I farm too much for those gear (cleared game at 85) I was scared for fire immunes at first. Zealot died after I cleared the game and wanted lazy farming so I respec to Holy Bolt for Chaos Sanctuary. I got so bored while popping seal, Lord whatever spam on top of me and killed me. My Zealot deserved to die because I felt it was an insult to clear the game as melee then respec to spellcaster. I also find spellcasters boring. I just love melee combat is more exciting and challenging. Cheers!

I can imagine. I happened to get really lucky on my run and ended up finding a very good weapon, so I won't have to worry about fire immunes anymore. The rest of my gear is still pretty crap though, but finding a weapon on a melee run is such a huge win. Ahh that's too bad. You could have always just farmed tokens and specced back. RIP Zealot. Here's to hoping your fireclaw druid gets to 99 :D

@@thenuclearrabbit I avoid Baal farming haha. But I also had 1 more respec. BTW lvl 89 now and I actually enjoy Werewolf Fireclaw too. Depending on the enemies and numbers, I switch back and forth. I fear someday I will die by misclicking and untransform haha.

The comments are full of spoilers haha. I'd rather just make longer video's. Especially since in most runs there just isn't a lot happening in normal. I also don't like the idea that people have to look for part 2 and 3. My goal is to make video's like I would want them to be.. Thx for watching!

Eh, it happens. I have gotten a couple of insane items from her over the years. I usually just go for the speedrun strat of using the imbue at lvl 19 to get 20frw boots early

You said when fighting Andariel that "we can all agree that she is the more toxic person". Do we agree on that? For starters how would you rate her toxic levels? Are we basing this her own poison attack, or the one you afflict on her? Are we using poison amount or poison duration? Or using both, calculating Dps? Are "reduce poison" duration allowed? What about antidote potions? The questions we all wonder sometimes...

Duuuuude. So close! Maybe try the taunt barb merc when you're getting swarmed or something. It might improve your odds, but I dunno.. you're the hardcore expert here.

The taunt merc is very good but I don't think even he would have been able to stop this. This was just me being shit out of luck while in an attack for less than 2 seconds. It's rough but it just happens. Can't do much about it.

I have a pile of high runes just laying around after 2 years of these runs. Something like another vex rune does nothing for me at this point. I honestly would rather find an um or a ko rune than like a jah during a run at this point. I also rarely use skillers, I have a bunch of them but no point in playing the characters except when prepping for ng+ runs, which usually involves just being on players 1 which you easily clear without them if you want. To give some more perspective on it. I don't even pick up things like tal armors, shako's, etc. I just make a list of what I need for a video and save only those items.

@@AUTOPILOT4K Yeah I always stockpile as much MF as I can on these runs. I don't do any farming that isn't for a video. But for the NG+ runs I farm till I have the gear I need. It's more that I just have 1000's of hours on d2r and those hellforge's and incidental runedrops really start adding up after a while.

Just play more and play along with what we do. That will teach you the basics. But please realize most of us have an absurd amount of hours logged in this game. Also can't you bind move to a different button?

Love the video, sad ending. :( Btw you are too strict with yourself!! Why u cant use charms on invertory? And why you cant use runes??? Runes could be allowed to put into yellow/crafted (crafted stuff are still rare imho!) armors for example! :)

It hurts to watch when you play these builds without using their most potent utility skills. Decoy and Valkyrie would have changed the entire feel of that playthrough, and they could have saved you from that death if you were scouting ahead with them and then hit the souls with the Slow Missiles. Regardless that was a bummer of a death, and nice attempt with only rares. That’s one hell of a brutal challenge.

I saw the name in the starcraft brood war credits as a kid and I loved the name so I started using it ever since. At this point I've been using it for almost 25 years.
