Impressive. I admit when I saw the challenge I thought that would be easy as a caster like a skellimancer or sorc. Figured you meant as a melee character but then assumed you would go Paladin with holy shock or something and 3 shael runed leg or rabies druid or something where the skill provides the dmg. Kudos for actually using the leg itself for damage with a barb and for the creative crafting!

@zlatanmorrison8182 Yeah a 3 socket with Tals would be the safest way to play it. I did initially try to get a 3os leg, just didn't want to drop for me. I kinda liked showing off the imbue and crafting anyway, a bit more fun.

May as well just get wirt's leg from the start using shared stash. For crafting in general, it would be better to craft early rather than later. Blood gloves you can farm for an ilvl 3 area and cube as soon as you get the cube in act 2. Crafted items have absurd level requirements, of +13 to +22 levels (3 per affix, up to 4 affixes). So rolling something like a "thawing" which is alvl 10 will have a clvl requirement of 20-29. There's a bunch of resists at alvl 12 as well, so staying below ilvl 15 is pretty important if you're going to use blood gloves in normal. For crafting wirt's leg, you can use the 3 normal gems to make ilvl 30, then use chipped gems to reduce it to ilvl 25, but as you found out, it's probably better to just use 3 tal or an imbued leg.

You could have used runes like Ral rune for fire damage which is better than a P Ruby and easier to find. I think Max damage jewels would have worked even better than gems or runes honestly but could be hard to find.

barb has a pretty high phys scaling (mastery + conc), so 3 ith runes in a leg would probably give the best dmg output (or 2 ith in a nicely rolled magic leg?)

@@Amoeby Sorry, Not as much a trick as a single player clever use of game mechanics. He used the shrine spawns to get early P gems. It was an outside the box thought that I had never really considered as a mostly online player.

In theory, you can get some really good affixes if you imbue it on higher lvl. Imagine Wirt's Leg with fool's, cruel and grinding prefixes and with quickness, amp damage and slaughter suffixes. A man can dream.

What was the selling and buying of potions about at 9:51? Accidental or is this a trick I dont know about?

Not sure exactly which part to clarify so I'll just go over the whole thing. I press G to switch to old graphics, when in old graphics the 'buy' button stays aligns with the mouse cursor with no delay so you can purchase potions very quickly. I was buying thawing potions for Duriel. Each thawing potion gives +50 Cold Res and +10 to maximum Cold Res for 30 secs. This is stackable, so drinking a bunch before cold areas puts you at 85 cold res for a long time. Hope that helps.

when you did get wirt x3 sockets - why no 3x Tal rune? Also the gloves lvl depends on what lvl u bought them. So as early as possible buy urs to craft from 1-20 lvl

Good job you completed it. In todays game I think a jewel with 15% IAS and max value damage jewel (x3) would be best you can get and probably would be more of a Paladin to get the most out of it. But you could use berserk to better effect

I'm calling Elly's weapon an invalidation of the run. Had you left her without a weapon, I'd say you can use her, but you were technically using a weapon that wasn't Wirt's Leg to beat the game. I'd recommend gambling circlets for elemental damage, you can get quite a lot on a decent roll there, especially if you run Countess for runes you should have plenty of cash in the early game.

If you're on classic Diablo II - create a local tcp/ip game, maps are reset when switching between online/offline so you can play solo on local tcp/ip map, then switch to single player, then back to tcp/ip to reset maps repeatedly. On Ressurected the only way for a solo reset is to go to your save file folder and locate the .map file, remove them all. Just be sure not to remove your actual save in the process but that forces the game to remake the maps.

you want more dumb ideas? o crazy theories of my own,, theory nº1: each map has a chest or a corpse that doesnt have anything on it. and they are always in speficic places for a reason, for example, the one next to the countess tower, the one in the entrance outer cloister, the amazon corpse in inner cloister next to the waypoint, so maybe if you discover all the chest and activate them you will get or discover something new, maybe is the oposite and you dont have to touch those chest, who knows.. Or maybe focus on opening all the chest of each map?or not opening anyone at all. theory nº2: what happen if you use the charsi hammer to open the stairs in act 3? or use it in the forge? or viceversa? try to combine all those unique mission specific items to do crazy shit, or maybe combine them in the cube. what about alkor potion, and malaa potion, combine them? books, and horadric pergamines, malaah skiller? theory nº3: what if you open a cow level with rare wirst leg? I hope you like it!!
