the best way to kill the hermit boss is to make it kill itself bring akihiko for electric break and also bring ken for his magic mirror skill then afk win thats what i did my merciless run because this strat only use two characters u can bring mitsuru to defense reduction skill

Ohhhh boy this one seemed, immensely painful. I mean granted it makes sense, you're not only putting yourself down a party member for the entire game, but also actively depriving yourself of the strongest party member. I did really enjoy seeing how much strategy and thought had to go into each major fight, very interesting seeing how you maneuvered your way through some of those. Also yeaahh a lot of these bosses seemed to just be poorly designed even outside of the challenge. Like, Ah Yes, let's make massive damage sponge and staple it to wheel of rng death. Great video and can't wait for the next one!

One thing that i thought, is that you can do something in the overworld for benefit or your party: boosting your knowledge, so when a midterm occurs, you getting high scores makes mitsuru gives you better incenses, and those incenses can be used on your party members

Great video! I loved it! Although one tip with the fear ailment, to my knowledge the party members don't run away from boss battles and they only run if they are in a random battle, hopefully it might be of help in case you decide to do other challenge runs of persona!

Yeah I never had it happen during a full moon boss, but it did happen during one of the midbosses gate guards in tartarus so I just assumed it could happen during the full moon ones as well, thanks for the clarification! Hey, I don't know anything about Persona and don't even know how I got here but can someone two me why these schoolchildren keep shooting themselves in the head with ghost guns every ten seconds

Persona 3 has the characters using Evokers to summon their persona, an evoker is a symbol of death, allowing the characters to accept mortality and death, which allows them to summon the persona within them, it works differently in each game, with the characters in 4 using tarot cards, and the characters in 5 ripping masks off of their faces.

Why does every mid boss beyond a certain point have heat riser? The same reason every boss in smt nocturne has beast or demon eye. They gave up.

Thats... honestly worse for me, because thats even less fair if the games just deciding you take 300 damage on a fixed turn. at least if it was random then you'd have a fair shot at avoiding that monstrous damage output

@@AstralKat yeah i watched a friend die to it multiple times and the sequence was the same. when i then fought it myself the sequence still matched up. im unsure if its turn count or hp of the other boss but yeah the wheels are not random

It isn't RNG? From what I heard It was that the first 2 rolls were fixed, but not all the rolls. If all of them are fixed then It is kinda sad.

i am guessing you did this because its kinda obvious but if you didn't waste every afternoon at Tartarus u could hang out with ur party members so they get buffs

I always did one tartarus block in one day until the last 3 months where it took me 2-3 days because I was conserving SP items, but yes I was hanging out with party members

I’d be interested in hearing your perspective on not continuing to use Yukari and Junpei. Junpei kind of falls off mid game with the new party members but he makes up for it late game when you can stack critical chance increasing items onto him. That being said, the party composition you had wasn’t bad. Don’t remember Koromaru’s weaknesses, but I can’t remember anything in particular that used bless often. Did find that the last few blocks there was a lot of fellows that had curse blocking. Koromaru’s debilitate is good, three different damage types is good. Aigis has buffs, healing, and physical attacks, and Mitsuru of course has that endgame magic damage on lock. But with your run in particular, it seemed like taking damage was a big deal, and Yukari would’ve been great for that the entire run. Her theurgy does drop off in damage, I suppose, and a party concentrate isn’t that great without being able to save a turn for your character from having to use it. Would’ve liked to see what equipment setup you ended up with.

Equipment was just the best gear I could buy before the final boss, I chose Koromaru because his only weakness is bless and barely anything uses it, and even then he's more than tanky enough to take a few hits, plus his damage output is insane, on top of that he also blocks Fire which is one of the most common attacking types in the game next to Elec. Aigis was another obvious choice being as she has heals just as Yukari does but her buffs are what really mattered, the damage output you can do with theurgy attacks + Aigis' boost is ridiculous and can outmatch 99% of the biggest threats in the game, also she's just one of my favourite characters, + Orgia mode made her essentially immune to electric attacks with a defense buff and allowed me to steamroll basically anything that would have been hard to deal with otherwise. and Mitsuru was a personal request from my fiancée. But I also just really liked using her, and I even mentioned in the video why I dropped Yukari, She would have made things too easy, I even played a little further with Yukari instead of Aigis and it trivialised everything, so I chose to make it harder on myself for fun, thats kind of a theme with my challenge runs lol.

well you can't progress without Makoto(he have the Fool Shadow Arcana aka Pharos for the other shadow arcana to appear) but if its a gameplay they can but it will be longer and harder than normal
