I gave no restrictions on what pokemon could be used, so just get the most versatile pokemon (or just fast glass cannons) and power through. As for starting out, running away from wild Pokemon and doing as few trainer battles as possible But to be honest, this was a joke. I just got the idea from having to monstrously over level two awful pokemon I was duo-ing gen 5 with. Brain just said, make a challenge based around the opposite of this

In later gens (6+) Lunatone DOES get Moonlight and Moonblast though, which are both Fairy-type moves and Fairies typically call upon greater magicks like the moon for their attacks. So does this count? I think if Lunatone did have access to, lets say, Dark Pulse then it would probably be a little too strong? But I also wouldn't argue too much against it. There are a couple other Psychic types that learn Dark type moves!

Sneasel gets some pretty good coverage by tm in gen 2, and has brilliant speed and attack, though terrible special attack for the types of moves. As far as storyline battles, the middle gyms would be really challenging, but sneasel gets dynamic punch by tm to help with Jasmine and Price. Really dig your team’s synergy this time around. The Tate and Liza fight really illustrates how Solrock and Lunatone cover each other’s weaknesses: Solrock is an excellent offensive force with plenty of coverage while Lunatone does well at support with Hypnosis and deals with anything that Solrock can’t thanks to Calm Mind, Psychic, and Ice Beam. Also, it’s a refreshing change of pace that Steven isn’t hair-pulling difficult if not impossible

Let’s see, you’ll probably have issues with Juan, Wallace, Archie, Sidney and the ghost elite four. Other than that you should be fine. Not sure how the Steven fight will go. Anyway here’s some challenges: Emerald with Magcargo (basically the abomasnow challenge in a region more centered around kicking its ass) Fire red with only normal type moves (use foresight or odor sleuth for ghosts) Platinum using only Pokemon that can be fished up with a rod. Heart gold/soul silver with only a sunkern (sequel to a previous challenge) Black using only a Tynamo (probably gonna need in battle items for this one) Black/white 2 challenge mode using only first form bugs (another sequel) And for a couple non Pokemon challenges: Final Fantasy X-2 using only Brother (creature creator) Skyrim using only Illusion Final Fantasy VIII without junctioning to stats

You know what I love about MDB? Of all the youtubers I watch, he's the only one that makes me feel like he loves being a youtuber most. There are quite a few Pokemon that are part of a pair/ split evolution in gen 3. Plusle and minun. Dustox and beautifly. Ninjask and shedinja. Seviper and zangoose (canonically enemies but still a pair). Volbeat and illumise. The latis. Solrock and lunatone obviously. And if you count them the fossils but they come in twos usually anyway. It's like the game was built around some new mechanic that revolved around two Pokemon or something.

I have a challenge suggestion: gen 1 with only one-hit KO moves, but you are allowed to use items in battle. It will be less based on luck and more on resource management.

Which fossil did you take? Comments are good for KZbin algorithm. Also idea: Can you beat Pokemon red without triggering badge boost glitch. It means that if you or your opponent uses moves which would change your stats after first gym you would have to reset. I don't expect it to be a tough one but a long one considering how many times you have to reset. You can only save after a major battle rival/gym/team rocket/elite 4

Just recently found the channel and benched through most of your challenge videos, first of all they are awesome to watch. I don't know if you'll get this comment or not but something I thought of to at least get your opinion on if it would be good as an add on to some challenges, [and it's a challenge I give myself, though admittingly it's not hard but it is fun to see if possible] is the no wild exp gain. Basically you can only get exp from trainer battles 'or' if you get stuck in a wild encounter ie. dugtrio and wobbuffet, or if it's a later gen, catching the pokemon you want sense that gives 'wild' exp as well.

You should try to do Pokémon white with one solosis I imagine this would be easy because of solosis’s high special attack star of 105 but it may be hard because of his base speed being 20 also make it big cell as a reference to your Pokémon fire red dragon ball z team training rom hack

This challenge really showed that Lunatone is an underated Pokémon. It's far from an amazing top tier for tournament play, obviously, but it's nowhere near bad enough to make a challenge playthrough super difficult.

Looking at their stats and moves, plus having 2 pokemon instead of one, this should be pretty easy. Still will be interesting to see what part ends up unexpectedly harder than anticipated.

I've just bing watched your Randomizer HG/SS with Whattageek (took me some time though), after following your runs for quite a few time. Not finished yet but I think it’ll be relatively easy. Luna tone is a great Pokémon for what it’s worth. I think Solrock will be more of a convenience like “oh, good thing it knows a fire move.” Juan will be interesting but I’m excited for the twins battle!

Great run as usual! Quick notion, it would have been harder with Trecko evolution line. Since he is more likely to use Super Effective moves than the mudkip evolution line. He also learns some dark moves and a bug move.
