I think this and a few of the accounts so far haven't really needed 'fixing', more so just guidance and insight in how to use the potential of the account (or they haven't played long enough to get artifacts). It really makes you appreciate genshins combat system and how many interactions between different characters, their artifacts and their weapons there are. And i think videos like yours (well this video also uses candace) are rather amamzing for learning (and endgame) players, mainly because you actually explain how they work. For example telling someone how to build a generic hyperbloom/national may get them the results, but when they want to craft their own teams they might struggle with thinking of synergies. But consistently throughout your videos, you explain what you're doing and why it works or doesn't and i think that's really valuable. Keep up the content, it's gold

Yep I agree lol, this account was perfectly fine (some minor mistakes for prioritizing of resources, not having artifacts are problems, sure, but mostly just annoyances that make progression take longer by not having flexibility). I think a majority of the submissions probably are in a state of just needing guidance, overall. Which is why I doubt I will do this kind of random selection for accounts too often, but we shall see

As soon as I saw the number of characters levelled 80+, I understood why this account doesn't have as much artifacts. I think the issue is not throwing away artifacts but just levelling too many characters and not farming enough artifacts for them, I think once u get 3 or better yet, 4 good teams with decent level artifacts, you should then focus on levelling every character, I personally don't level characters I know I won't use past lvl 40.

Yeah its hard to explain that you kinda need to find a balance with farming different things. I also think Tara may have just been more motivated by simpler things like farming heros wits for leveling to 90 rather than artifacts that have less specific goals in mind to works towards due to the rng aspect of them.

@@demonchildrobin86 you don't need to level that many 4* if u have the amount of 5 stars Tara has and u also don't need to get them to lv81 like this acc, u can stop at 70 and keep their talents at lv1. The enemies in theater are also usually abyss f10 level so u can go through it with only 1 dps or a dps and sub dps pairing and rest of the characters are there just to fill the team requirements.

@@demonchildrobin86You got it backwards; building as many units as possible is horizontal development. Vertical is power-leveling a small set of units. The Abyss is vertical while the Theater is horizontal.

They still take more than a day to make (Im not gonna get into the delay of how long it took me to actually make the video after initially reaching out to Tara here, or the multiple other people I reach out to that make these videos take longer), but yeah it is a potentially a way to start doing these more often. Clearing abyss doesn't necessarily mean that the account is scuffed, you can still have lot of problems to fix that will make your time clearing much easier ​@@TheMoonestOne

OH. I know this Abyss history pattern. Their issue isn't exactly their investments in their characters I think. I mean, that can always make things harder for sure, but their builds were fine. It's that they probably don't know how their rotations are supposed to go and/or don't know enemy patterns and rng. The same exact thing happened with me, and my Abyss history at the time was very similar to theirs.

its always been odd to me that maguu kenki can't take damage in the first ten seconds of the abyss. that could seriously make the difference between clearing and not for many people.

It would be interesting to see a video where you do what you did here, give advice to the account owner, tell them what to farm and such and then do a video a month or two later where you revisit the accounts you gave advice for and see if they've improved and if you can 36 star the abyss. Or if you want to be able to do it faster, picking people who have a lot of fragile resin and are willing to farm for a week (wink wink, this lady right here has 180 fragile she doesn't know how to use)

I really like this video format! I’ve been passively watching you in the past but it’s nice to see you do a challenge that gives you a break from grinding over a long period of time (which sounds like it gets exhausting!). I think it’s a good mix between farming, reviewing and doing abyss clears which I appreciate from a player speaking from experience like you who gives unique insight and advice that i don’t get to hear as often. I feel like this account makes it clear that as long as you have certain characters and focus on building the right ones, you can still clear abyss even with this little artifacts. this surprised me because i have farmed a decent set for my characters and have yet to clear 36 stars more than once 😅i’ll be keeping my notifs on for u and hopefully be able to catch a review stream or submit my account because it’s pretty frustrating as a long time player

Artifacts themselves don't have to roll perfect to clear abyss. Just enough to do the functions that are needed from those artifact sets and not have too many wasted stat rolls be in non-useful stats. For a good standard, if more than half of your rolls go to stats that help your character in a beneficial way to their role, than it's a good enough piece. Of course, you always want to strive for the best stats on artifacts and have them roll into those stats, but that's not going to be possible most of the time. For abyss, as long as they are leveled up artifacts and fit into your character's roles with decent rng, you can clear abyss provided you properly level up your skills/levels and in teams that fit their playstyle the best.

I think you hate on level 90 too much. A lot of people do it for characters they love. It’s inefficient but it’s also commitment. I think that decision should be respected more

iirc I put text on screen saying as much that it can be worth level 90ing units you love. I actually cut out the majority of my talking about level 90 for the very reason you mention. I dont think its worth harping on that much, but its important to call out as a factor of spending resources in ways that may limit your ability to do other things. A ton of people default to level 90ing before investing more into, say, another character that could enable your favorite character to have even stronger team options. You just gotta be smart with your resources, and leveling 90ing every unit you like a lot isnt the best default choice because it limits your ability to put resources elsewhere that could make the same unit stronger. imo the best approach for level 90ing units that dont gain much from level 90 is to decide to do so after using them for a while (eg after you find your Ayaka teams you like using the most, and especially if you have spare resources built up, it can absolutely make sense to min max her for a 2% dps increase from 80->90)

Its mostly a bad thing to do very early on and even then some characters still benefit a lot from it. Level 90 is very costly and is lower priority than talents, weapons, basic artifacts with right mainstats, same stuff again for supports. Once you are done with 2 teams and have entered infinite artifact hell then yeah getting that free 2% upgrade from lv90 is more worthwhile than looking for the elusive upgrade on a 40% CV piece.

For more simple things Ive started doing streams for reviewing peoples characters/profile for this reason. I may do a more in depth version in the future that may require another separate permanent form though. The form used this video is relegated to accounts Id log into directly to fix things for these videos, and does not have anything preventing you from submitting multiple times

Jello has found through gcsim that lvl 90 on Itto is equal to 30% crit damage. It's really not that bad but it's not a priority.

He is a unit that scales on defense (or technically converts def to attack, functionally making him def scaling by the strength of the conversion). You gain much more base defense going from 80-90 than you gain attack, so its much more relevant for Itto. I didnt say it wasnt worth 90ing an Itto, I was instead talking about attack scaling units that get little value from level 90 relative to resources it requires for them

i played Ayaka with 2 hydro on 12-1 second half and it got me to get a 32 star clear which is my highest star clear so far. First half was easy with Alhaitham Furina hyperbloom but that team is broken.

Mono hydro with xingqiu (c2 for hydro res shred) instead of kazuha is better because the team mostly does single target dmg making grouping of kazuha kind of wasted and hydro swirls does not have AOE so only one dmg number at a time. Better to have kazuha with arlechinno.

Thankfully there is a new thing in 5.0 that will help alleviate this issue by allowing selection of main stat and some substats on artifacts! Im guessing it will only be a once-per-patch kind of resource, but it still should help a lot of players!

Tenacity is better if you have one of her constellations(I think it's c2? Not 100% sure tho), then you use Noblesse on someone else

Noblesse would be good if you have no other noblesse user. Typically the team will also have Bennett on noblesse so c6 faruzan will equip tenacity (faruzan must be c6 to trigger the 4pc effect).

People say its helpful at least, but sometimes I feel like Im not saying anything that meaningful lol. If we are talking about whether the owners of the accounts I fix still feel like they need help after I "fix" things, I know at least one of them showed me that they 36 starred themselves after my video, which is cool! (I dont recall which account it was, sorry) I like sharing my overly specific knowledge of some things in genshin though, and try to show how contextual the game is in a way that emphasizes the relevance of doing different things because I think its the more fun way to approach playing from my personal experience. I like optimizing, but I like balancing trying new things and optimizing stuff relative to a goal you have that can motivate you to engage with the long term grindiness of the game

I think its a mix of over prioritizing crit, throwing away usable artifacts, and maybe most importantly that a lot of people just dont like farming artifacts.

Checkout guides that people make for different strategies for a particular abyss cycle, particularly from anyone that focuses on general team archetypes ability to clear abyss cycles and how to work around enemy AI to clear faster. Zajef used to make them called "meta roundups" though I dont think he has made any recently I imagine. Im sure there are other creators making such videos out there though

I believe there is a button to configure it in the artifact inventory screen in the bottom left. Personally, I think the feature is nearly useless, because even if you have it auto lock things you still need to learn how to evaluate the relevance of different stats for different characters relative to existing artifacts you have in order to determine whether an artifact is worthwhile to your specific account. So imo I think relying on the auto lock system to keep relevant artifacts for you may actually just cause bad habits that make you throw away artifacts that wouldve been more than usable. Not locking artifacts forces you to look at artifacts and individually check them for you to decide for yourself if they are relevant.
