@@sxg4rfr3e G thing about genshin is you can clear any end game content with anything. My F2P C0S1 itto team (itto/zhongli/chiori/c6 gorou) clears their chamber in spiral 12 in around 45s. So imo just play whoever you like. (funnily enough my "meta" team of alhaitham nahida furina and kuki shinobu isn't performing as well as my itto one- mainly cause im dying a lot)

​@@Dan713He's trash if you don't have c6 Gorou if you're gonna use him to beat abyss* Geo generally isn't very valuable especially when you're trying to beat abyss. Once you have Zhongli you don't need the rest, and unlike this list, Nilou, Kokomi and Venti would place higher than Navia and Chiori because they're so easy to build and use with. The only reason you would pull for Geo without preference, much like Wanderer and Xiao or Alhaitham and Baizhu is for Imaginarium Theater. I don't know if I'm being biased an prejudiced here since I genuinely think I'm right, so if my sentiments end up wrong now and down the line I'm sorry

Even though Navia is my current main, I definitely agree with the C0 placement. She doesn’t need cons at all. Spent every gem I had getting her to C2, and I’d rather have those gems back. The cons are nice if you get them by chance, but not at all worth spending for. Her axe, on the other hand… Gotta get it for her. This is Fashion Impact, after all. Can’t have a stylish lady like her knocking heads with a weapon that doesn’t match her outfit, like some common ruffian. Neuvillette, on the other hand… he makes me feel like a crazy person. Everyone seems to love his play style, and my reaction is basically, “No thanks.” Spamming Hydro Pump seems incredibly boring to me. I had enough of it just doing his trial run. Likewise, the old darling of the dps category, Raiden, just doesn’t do it for me. Never was a fan of characters that are dependent on their burst. I don’t want to see that animation every time I need to take out a group of slimes. That was also one of my big annoyances with HSR’s combat, seeing those over the top dramatic ult animations over and over and over…

I mostly regret pulling for dps characters I pulled more for their design/story/personality/animation aesthetics, but ended up not enjoying their playstyle (like Xiao, Neuvillette, Yoimiya, Eula, both Kamisato siblings,...). Neuvillette was the last straw; after him, I decided to only pull for a dps after I make sure I'll actually enjoy their playstyle for at least more than 2 weeks. And I especially regret Neuvillette because I was very close to not pulling him. My gut feeling was telling me he will get boring to play after a week or so, but I still gave in and, well, my gut feeling was absolutely correct.

@@zoiailiankova322 I'd say my top 10 fun to play on-fielders/characters you build the team around (not in order) are Keqing, Wanderer, Arlecchino, Klee, Navia, Alhaitham, Raiden, Hu Tao, Childe and Nilou. As for supports/off-field dps characters, I just pull/build the generally good ones like Furina, Bennett, Kazuha, Sucrose, Nahida, Yelan, Xiangling, Fischl,... and also those who specifically work well with my favorite on-fielders/teams (like (ideally C6) Faruzan for Wanderer, (ideally C6) Sara for Electro characters, Chevreuse for Overload teams,...). I'd recommend pulling for/building some or most of those generally good supports/off-field dps characters either way and then finding which on-fielders you enjoy playing the most (kinda sucks you can't just try any character at any time and need to wait for them to be featured or grind the story quests (and even then, I think some characters you can't even try out in their story quests)) and also pulling for those more specific supports if the on-fielders you picked need them.

Ayato has a unique soup team that has good AOE but only feels like childe team dps levels without childe insane hydro application and xiangling multiple pyronado hits per round tech.

For real. Not even 30 seconds into Neuvilette's trial and I was already hard pass. I genuinely don't see me using him for more than 5 minutes before getting bored. At least Ganyu requires proper aiming and Ayato fights at close range and has fun combos. My learning lesson was when I pulled Ayaka during eternal banner because it was back when she was meta but I hated playing her and freeze in general so I never even finished building her set. Now I have Wrio who is more fun and I can play in Melt and Freeze with the same set so I have literally 0 reason to go back to her

if youre looking to use yae more, i use her with tighnari and they shred everthing. while yae requires more field time than raiden or fischl, i find that it lines up really well with tighnari’s cooldowns since he ends up playing more like a quickswap character than a hypercarry. other team members are nahida and zhongli for comfort, or kokomi for hydro

Baizhu pairs really well with Alhaithan, Tighnari, Nilou and Neuvillete. You can fit him together with Nahida for Raiden / Clorinde teams, but is a mediocre combination in general. So if you don't have anything that pairs decently with Baizhu, you will feel regret.

Additionally, whoever you have based on how many characters and teams you have is also important. Start by getting DPS units or highly coveted supports like Kazuha if you’re seeking depth and diversity in early game. Then you can stack up new teams by going for other characters. However, I’d say the most crucial part of pulling for characters is preference. Obviously you want to have good characters, but go for who you like!

Raiden is still the only unit I would return for a refund. She was touted as the solution for all my problems but what I didn't know at the time was, prior to Dendro, she needed really good artifacts with lots of crit and ER to be amazing and I still am Farming EOSF for other units to this very day. So Raiden got benched immediately. I learned to be a bit pickier with my pulls and to throughly test units and not lgive theorycrafters opinion as much weight. She's better now as a hyper bloom trigger but I would not miss her.

well yeah i might be the only person who regrets having yelan. i pulled her only for meta and im not ashamed to admit that. the thing is even before furina id still use kokomi or xingqiu for hydro slots. ive always valued the sustain over damage and well yelan is mostly damage. i even have her weapon which i got pulling for homa and she still stays benched. the only ever time im using her is killing annoying bosses in overworld because its faster but even then i use other teams which i enjoy more. the point is, pull for characters you like. it doesnt matter if they might get powercreept later, this a gacha game after all and you should have fun at the moment. most people get burnt out of genshin so if you are the person who comes back every region and leaves or just playing whenever, i think this is the best advice i can give you. pulling for meta is ok as long as you like the character. because meta changes and in mine case it ruined the experience. i couldve got another character instead which i would actually enjoy playing but here we are. now i even struggle coming back to genshin beacuse i find it less and less fun than before. i wish you all the best

I have her at 90, with all her talents at 9, yet I have found her to be one of the more problematic characters to pilot. Whenever the game lags or gets a tad slow, or sometimes even just due to my own flawed inputs, oftentimes what I intend to be normal attacks end up being charged attacks. This isn't so bad with characters like Ayaka, Chiori, or Yanfei, but if you know Yoimiya, you already understand how terrible it would feel to have her normals disabled. This is why when I do play her, I enjoy her burst Burgeon playstyle much better than any standard build.

The only one I regret is HuTao even if I like her theme. I just irrationally hate her play style. What I don't regret is getting her weapon that I got as collateral. On the flip side, I really dislike Baizhu but I'm neutral with having him on my account. He just does something unique. I got him and his weapon super early even if neither were my target. There's plenty more that I rarely use anymore but they gave me the best times of my genshin life and I don't regret having them sit around like a trophy at all. Thank you, Venti, Xiao, Itto. ❤

During ayakas banner I had a Yoimiya guaranteed and I being the idiot I am wanted to pull for Yanfei cons. Ayaka fell into my lap at 25 pity and I to this day still do not have a Yoimiya. I refused to use her for months until I got to the point where I needed another strong dps (keqing being my only at the time) now looking at my c2 triple crown ayaka I will never leave her she’s my everything. I got Childe to c6 in 1.1, loved him during the early game and then stopped after a while and still haven’t built him due to not having any 5* crit stat bow (including no skyward) and have never gotten proper artifacts for him to get all the crit rate and dmg he needs. All of this despite heavy heavy whaling. He’s not even a regret I guess anymore but man he’s so difficult to justify all the efforts i’d need to get him truly geared out.

As a Wanderer and Venti Main, if I were to start a new account, I'd "whale for cons" (metaphorically) every time to get them. Venti as a DPS crowd control plus Wanderer's charged attack makes for a deadly combination--and if you get Venti to C6, the Anemo res shred applies to Wanderer's attacks as well. I got lucky in that I got a c6 Faruzan as well so she boosts not only Wanderer, but Venti's damage as well. In fact Benny is the outlier on my team for being pyro. Meanwhile I actually find Kazuha, everyone's favorite meta Anemo boy, to be difficult to use right. His burst doesn't contain enemies, his skill's crowd control is a bit too short for that for my liking, and ngl, the praise for Kazuha while the hate for Venti has made me kinda dislike him. I still use him on my team with Nahida just to have SOME crowd control, but other than that... idk, not really the meta game changer for me that he is for everyone else. I'll stick to the puppet who wants a heart of his own and a little seed of hope that became a god for my main DPS personally.

I think sucrose would be better in a dendro team. And about kazuha, he's really good but only for shred and buffs, his cc is only good for small enemies like venti but you have to position yourself better. Also although there are some overlaps, venti and him have very different team possibilities because they don't do the same thing(venti is mainly a battery and cc character). I love both of them tho, couldn't imagine not having either.

It's true that some character lose their value as the game progresses. if i make a new account *now* i'll probably skip venti too, but if i were to go back to ver 1.0 i will still pull for venti. He trivialize most contents and he doesn't have a lot of competition in his niche at the time other than sucrose and anemo mc. Sure we have more cc options now but even so i still use him in abyss and imaginarium theater where i have to defend monolith so yeah eventho he's not as necessary as he was back then it's still nice to have him around

From my current roster... I don't think I'll ever regret getting anyone, even Ayaka or Venti (havent been using them on the abyss, but it's more about the abyss having both boss and mobs in the same half and not favoring cryo as much)

Pretty much agree with this list except for Yae. Saying that nobody else does the totem gameplay isn't true with Fishl, Yao Yao, Xiangling, Chiori, Furina all having this style while using less on field time. Heck, Raiden does it without the need of being stuck in circle impact... Now that I think about it, Emilie is basically a power crept version of Yae in a different element.

This will get me some hate, but out of everyone I've ever pulled for the only one I do regret is Ayaka. And it wasn't intentional either. It happened in the last re-run she had alongside Navia. I wanted constellations for my Sucrose (because I adore her) and I made the mistake of pulling on Ayaka's banner for Sucrose. I wasn't in Fontaine at the time so I didn't know who Navia was (I was still exploring Sumeru like a chump). Came out with C1 Sucrose and an Ayaka I didn't want. I did use her as my main Cryo DPS at the time, but I didn't find her as fun to play compared to my other teams. Now that I know (and now have) Navia, I wish I could go back in time and dumped all my primos on her banner rather than Ayaka's. I've pulled for Itto and Cyno because I genuinely enjoy them as characters- I don't play either of them anymore. I even pulled recently for Emilie because I liked her character quest. I pulled for Sigewinne for the same reason. Ayaka? She's one of the few characters in Genshin I genuinely do not like and my opinion of her has only worsened over the years. I know a lot of people adore her (and even Hoyoverse seems to favor here) but I am sorry Ayaka fans. She's as entertaining/endearing as shaved ice without any syrup to me. She...Exists and every time she shows up I almost forget she's there. Doesn't help that I think she is an example of some of the worst writing decisions in Inazuma's AQ. (But if it makes anyone feel better, I think Ayato is even worse.) So...Yeah she's really the only character I genuinely regret wasting Primos on.

I have to agree with you on Ayaka, I will probably never be pulling for her, I find her extremely boring as a character and I also despise her play stay. I played her character quest and honestly I was yawning my way through her entire quest. I haven’t had any bad experiences with Ayaka, I just don’t like her character. I have never stated over the internet that I dislike Ayaka to an extreme amount, because I have also feared of how much hate I would get from the Genshin community, but I’m willing to say it here, because I have finally found someone who actually shares my opinion about her. She will forever always be my least favorite Genshin character and I will never be pulling for her ever and I don’t have a problem with that.

I don't know about her gameplay, but I really did not like her story quest. In the Archon quest she's "fine" as someone trying to help against the decree, although I prefer Thoma, but her story quest is basically just "woe is me, I'm rich". Just constantly complaining about how her position of privilege is bad actually because she can't go to festivals (even though when she does not only no one stops her but they keep it going just for her) and no one gets to know her, even though it seems they'd love to, and she has Thoma? It just was too much whining for my taste.

No. But she’s sweet and her quest was actually about her. Her wanting to experience what normal people do can be relatable to both rich and poor. That and her wanting to know about her mother’s friend to then learn about her mom itself, showing a desire to actually live life is powerful. I don’t fully understand why you would have issue’s gameplay wise though. Not only does she make ice bridging places easier for travel, having the most unique dash in the game, but also she’s the only character to incorporate the dash mechanic. If you don’t like freeze though then sure I guess, but it’s a personal favorite to collect units, freeze then shred. Also it’s funny how you can deplete lector shields and such by just dashing at them. It’s funny.

As a Cyno main, he is fun and EXTREMELY strong when he is super invested and is paired with Furina, Nahida, and Baizhu. If you want to main him, you have to really want it, but it pays off. Not F2P friendly, but fun.

I'm enjoying this video. I've been thinking about what characters I regret. I literally just got Emilie C0R1 and I'm wondering whether I am regretting it or not. It'll be hard to tell until we've gotten some of those Natlan characters tho. I've still got 400+ wishes saved and 5.0/5.1 + Anniversary will bring a ton more, and I hope that Burning turns out to be a legit, not-so-niche playstyle... because if not, then I will regret the 272 wishes I spent.

Ah, you said something in the end that was one of the reasons I got Emilie. On-field DPSes are too many, but a strong off-field DPS is useful anywhere they can slot in. This is true in the Abyss and particularly true in Imaginarium Theater. Still hoping she doesn't end up super niche and plays well with those upcoming Pyro Natlan characters.

I have good news for you that Emilie is viable with Kinich, especially with his signature that requires Burn/Burgeon to trigger it's passive so if you're going to main him she'll be a good pick up for him though not exactly necessary if you have Furina who's a more universal unit that also works well for him and if you otherwise don't plan to pull on him, also that's a delicious amount of wishes you have

@@yptrumpet The thing with Emilie is that she is an off field dps not a support and the burn reaction is just important to trigger her passive. Once her passive is activated her damage is just her raw damage (it's like superconduct for Eula). So in that regards it makes her extremely flexible and viable on any team that can include a burning trigger: Mono pyro variants, melt, vape, and even teams like Aggravate and Burdgeon If your aim is a more Soup like set up. My personal favorite is burning melt Ganyu. I previously did not have a decent of field dendro applier to keep burning active so Ganyu could consistently melt (Nahida just doesn't work well for me and my controller). Emilie not only fills this role but also does a sh&t ton of her own damage that was enough to 36 star the current abyss with this team.

C1 Sigewinne's ascension passive is capable of outscaling Shehue's ice quills. Imo, Sigewinne has a lot of potential synergy w/Furina for double resonace teams, and have had great success with Navia/Chiori/Sige/Furina.

I dont think theres any characters i regret honestly. I pretty much never use Yoimiya (i already had Hu Tao when i got her) but i really love her character so im still glad i got her. I also realised after getting Neuvillette that i dont really care for the way he plays compared to other DPS characters, but similar to Yoimiya i really love his personality and backstory etc, so ive never regretted it (+ even with my not-that-great build hes insanely strong, and i like having a proper hydro dps that isnt Childe)

I think do not regret pulling for anyone, even if I don’t use them much anymore, I have used everyone to an extent. It probably because I don’t pull for sake of meta I unironically like using all charge bow characters, especially Lyney, he is so comfortable to use compared to Hutao in my opinion. It helps that mine is C2 I guess lol
