Ketona has high protein at 47% (dogs thrive on proteins), correct fats at 15% and natural additives, so have a look at Ketona Kibble: healthydogforlife.com/KetonaKibble. I recommend still adding the fresh foods even with the best kibble. By introducing fresh foods, really lowering carbs use, introducing greens, omega 3's, proteins and a better more suitable kibble, your dog will respond with healing and improved health over the next 12 weeks. When the mothers where pregnant 5 of the times I gave the females raw eggs with the shell ground up in their food and when the puppies where born it appear to me and my wife that the litter that got the eggs where slightly better/smarter then the ones that didn’t get eggs while the mother was pregnant. I’m not an expert on it! It was just my observation! 🤔

I have seen the proof. I have lived in the city for 49 yrs. I have always had dogs and so has almost all of my family. I moved to the country and I just got two puppies. These puppies are so healthy! They have the most bright white teeth, all in by age of 6 weeks and their coats are extremely soft. I was told to give eggs in am at least 3 times a week and peanut butter (organic) for the evening. Other than vitamins it’s the healthiest thing they can eat. I won’t be buying the treats at the store anymore, that’s for sure. Oh and filtered water. Filtered water really helps our little ones who have watery eyes that stain their hair. In about one month those stains go away. 😎🥰

Eggs are excellent proteins for dogs and Bullys need. lots of protein for their muscles. The shell is usually to get the calcium levels right when feeding raw or cooked meats. Meat has more phosphorous than calcium in it, so the eggshell give extra calcium to balance. So if your giving some meats too, add the shell.

@DanScott1 Жыл бұрын
Raw eggs are perfect in a raw food diet. Make sure to feed the raw food defrosted to above room temp when feeding. If your giving raw food with calcium in it ie pre-made raw meals your fine. If feeding your own ingredients then calcium is needed if there's no bone content. You can give eggshells or for a more complete calcium profile there's Bone Meal - amzn.to/3OsOXMf Ok, here's the education part: Bonemeal The amount to feed is about 4 teaspoons per pound of food for meals that are 10% fat. If feeding 15% fat, then there won’t be quite enough phosphorus, so feed 5 teaspoons. If there is 20% fat or more (more than 20% fat is not recommended for puppies), then increase the amount to 6 teaspoons. Eggshels are calcium only while bonemeal has the other balancing minerals. Work out how much fat is in your dogs diet to know the amount of bonemeal to feed. I'd focus on 15% fat as best option.
@24mbronc Жыл бұрын

They have beef, pork, white fish etc. but i figured beef would be the better option but maybe the age or size of the dog might make a difference?
@DanScott1 Жыл бұрын
@@24mbronc Steves is complete, nothing to add. I'd give 3 different meat options and the best ones that are digested well. So it could be beef, lamb and turkey, 3 different animal types. Then for an extra choice, you could buy in some raw green tripe, it's frozen, you defrost it to above room temp in warm water in the sink and usually comes as a chubb: shrsl.com/3yxwk It's 100% complete food so feed as is for a day or two each week. Dogs love it. Raw eggs, great complete food too. If your dog is older and delicate, move slowly, old to new food and build up over several weeks. Stay away from drugs and vaccines, very low carb use.

That's a lot of eggs in one day! Depends on the overall diet too. If it's part of a variety of food fed over several weeks, should be ok. A few points: Are the eggs fed raw? Raw is definitely best if feeding so many eggs per day, very balanced complete food. Is the diet raw? You can feed a lot of eggs as long as the diet has enough balance to it that over 1 month, you have fed a balanced diet ie 66% protein, 33% carbs/calcium/fat is great. Is your dog active? Remember that large dogs need about 900 calories a day and try to stick near that. Don't feed him a lot of grains because that has a lot of serious consequences in the future.

Can I feed my shih tzu a boiled egg everyday? :) 1 boiled egg per day?
@DanScott14 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, great nutrition. Reduce other food by 2oz to compensate the egg to keep weight level.

I don't get it. Why so few eggs?? 3 eggs a week for a large dog?? Why can't they eat 2, 3 eggs a day?
@DanScott1Ай бұрын
Just minimums, you can feed as many eggs a day as your dogs require. It's a complete food nutritionally, so great dog food. 2-3 eggs a day is great. Appreciate your questioning this.

I feed my dog a varied diet of venison, beef, beef heart, beef liver, chicken, eggs, lamb necks, kangaroo and tinned sardines in olive oil. He is turning 5 in February but still acts like he is 3. Definitely put his health and vitality down to the food I give him. I highly recommend this diet for any dog.
@DanScott1 Жыл бұрын
Fantastic diet and what dogs need. I recommend zero vaccines going forward also as the diet has the dog covered in terms of strong immune system and I would not risk an auto immune issue.
@Professor__S Жыл бұрын
@@DanScott1 appreciate the advice on not giving him vaccines, something I never really believe in much tbh.

I feed my dog cooked eggs, hamburger chicken and other meats. Canned dog food is a rarity.

Add some canned sardines in water for the omega 3's, minerals etc and some freeze dried greens for lots of antioxidants: SPARK - Daily Nutritional Greens Supplement : Antioxidants, amino acids, probiotics, enzymes, liver protein, 5+ greens: shrsl.com/3uv38 Now you'll have an even better diet balance overall. And well done on using fresh foods with less commercial foods. Thanks for dropping by and commenting.

My dog (150lb 13 yr old GSD, NOT OVERWEIGHT...JUST A GIANT DOG). About three years ago I started cooking for my dog also free feeding kibble bowls at all times I am in serious desperation please help me the last week the only thing my dog will eat is hard boiled eggs and yogurt I've done so much research to try and figure out what is going on with him as there has been formatted changes as of late and some of it happened very slowly where ever hurt hardly noticed I started investigating different things on the internet I'm afraid I have to self diagnose because I am on a low fixed income with no ability to earn any extra with that said he had lost like all of his muscle mass, his entire life I thought he just had a sensitive stomach and kept him on Beneful kibble he liked it at seem to work the best for him but still his entire life he's had soft poops a lot of them and they're huge everyday and drinks about two gallons of water a day and will vomit intermittently sometimes Whole Food sometimes bile that's not very often the last three years I have been cooking for them for the last year I have been feeding them one particular that is whole rolled oats as a binder with 10 lb of chicken two bags of carrots and a giant bag fresh green beans couple cloves garlic crushed cumin and ground turmeric and I absolutely loved it about once a week I would put in either beef or chicken liver did the degrees that love it even more but it seemed like it also gave them diarrhea so I didn't do that for real whenever I want them to do anything if I have real picky eaters especially you cannot force him to do anything he has never ever been one to do anything for food you would rather do without at any rate do the massive amount of research I feel that you have some type of pancreatic something that has going on I suspect chronically maybe his whole entire life what led me to start researching as of late is the dramatic change that I've seen in him both physically and mentally along with very dramatic personality changes is entire like he's never had an accident in the house, he rather die than potty in house... but has had four accidents in the house and also doesn't want to go outside and has become fearful of everything even the chickens.... I have to ask beg coax and sometimes pull him and you may or may not go when I take him out he's apprehensive as he can be also never had an issue with him trying to run away or Breakout lately he has been busting out of any type gate in doorway...he's huge (6' nose to tail, 31" @shoulder and until LATELY been very solid healthy Not overweight at all 150lbs) but I see him getting skinnier I feel his muscle mass completely gone and as of last week he will not eat anything except for Greek yogurt and hard boiled eggs and he's not drinking hardly anything his normal about 2 gallons a day so I'm like if that's all he'll eat that's what I'm going to give me in the last 4 days I have to cook 120 eggs!.... he's always enjoyed them but this is ridiculous and I don't want to make him sicker on the other hand I'm thinking some food is better than no food but I'll give him 6 for breakfast maybe four or five or snack R6 for lunch three or four for another snack so I'm playing more eggs and then he will keep looking at me like he's hungry you say I should give him 3x a week this is a problem is it not? Like I said food is better than no food is it not you cannot tempt him into eating anything is very finicky has always been please help me I don't know what to do he ate raw food and the only kibble he will and has eaten is Beneful but in the last week he won't touch them alive tried several brands high-end Brands about with the highest protein contents that I can find they love liver I have been cooking them liver along with the chicken and vegetables he doesn't seem as interested in that has always been I completely cut out the the rice versus oatmeal or other binders thinking that was what was making them itchy again don't know what to do please help desperate so desperately don't want him to die something I do or don't do is the best dog ever and doesn't deserve anything less than I could possibly giving them all that's never going to be enough please help me please

Eggs are a complete food, so your giving him a pretty balanced meal with the eggs and yoghurt. Try adding in canned sardines (packed in fresh water) Try adding cooked and well crushed veg. Add probiotics to every meal, these are excellent: amzn.to/3rW4JVA Don't give any drugs like dewormers, vaccines, flea and tick, they make things worse in this situation and flush the liver with Milk Thistle: amzn.to/2LdsWpY 15 drops daily spread between the meals. Do this for 6 months. There's raw food like raw green tripe which is very healthy. Do you give any meaty bones like pigs feet from the butcher, might make him happier. Also... remember that he's working off your feelings, so stay feeling good (or work on feeling good) so he can relax. There's also CBD oil which is very calming, immune system boosting and a great pain killer if in case he's moody over some pain somewhere. healthydogforlife.com/CBD Stay off the carbs as much as possible and onlu use wholemeal/brown carbs when needed. Hope that helps.

Girrrrrrrrrl I am gonna be the fist to tell you …. Dogs cannot have any garlic or onions it’s extremely toxic to them. If what your claims say is true, that you feed your dogs these ingredients ( the garlic in this case ) then you might have been the reason why this happened to your dog … please do better in the future with looking up what ingredients are toxic for the sake of the pooch and FYI most seasoning are not good for you dog bland food even though we ourselves wouldn’t eat it is the way to go
