In this video we sail from Al' Ankh Academy in the hopes of locating the island of Oasis. This is a stepping stone so we can practice navigating by the sun and stars in preparation for our intrepid journey when we will sail to Dragon Cliff. It takes several days sailing both day and night, fishing, eating and sleeping, navigating by the stars (mainly the North Star) and getting almost lost. Eventually, we finally see the lights of Oasis island in the dark and head towards it. Is Oasis island inhabited? We find out! I'm having loads of fun in this game!

In one of the future videos Porthos will disover the wonders of sail adjusting, apparent and true winds and reefing. But not this one. :D Man, that must have been amazing landing in Oasis like that. After searching the ocean for so long, basically having no clue where you are. That's old school sailing, mate. Like a true 1790s kid.

Congrats for finding Oasis. That was my first ocean trip as well, although I've used the bigger ship from Gold Rock. Dragon cliffs will be much easier to spot, but of course that trip will be a lot longer with a lot of headwind, so prepare well.

@@PorthosUK For the starter ship contracts are more than enough to fill it. Personally even in the bigger ship I'm only doing contracts, but there are others who also buy goods to trade for some extra money but I can't really help you with that.

Good job finding Oasis! Wow, and 4500 gold too! Not sure if they're the most cost-effective, but I like to bring along several crates of dates because they're cheap and fit nicely in the bow of the boat.
