I think the best is to break it off because Allah said in the quran (And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment ).The thing why it is so hard to leave it off after having known it's haram because you love someone beside Allah .if your love for Allah as it should be then you won't be tormented by leaving off the other person .I think yasmin mogahed talked about what wrong love is perfectly .You guys need to check it out .From my own experience, it is haram and you need to cut it off .May Allah grant us ease in breaking haram relationship and you don't leave something for the sake of Allah out of taqwa except that Allah will give which is better .it is the promise of Allah

I dated this girl for a week now. I actually loved her but just today i realized the relationship we had was very haram and zina. I dont want to go into detail but very explicit, besides that she was amazing… but i realized just today that it was haram and very bad to continue. I wanted to just block her but i realized the feelings she had to me. She said she wanted to marry me when were older, make a family, and be happy, maybe this is nothing to you guys but as 14 and my first and last relationship i was heart broken when i remembered those things. And when we both said we would never leave eachother.. i want to cry but im not, i just feel empty after blocking her. I should have said goodbye or something but i was too scared.. i want to improve my self but i feel empty after this, and i especially dont want to imagine how her morning is and if she will do something bad to herself. Please Allah (SWT) protect her. Im scared. I dont know what to do.

If she is Muslim and you know that she has made tawbah and changed her way as well, you should marry her. Do istkhara and tawakul 3la Allah. A man in my community was in the same predicament and he broke up with a woman who he loved and year later he proposed to her and they got married and have been happily married for 8 years now and have 4 beautiful good children whom they brought up in islam. It was especially hard for him since everyone in the community knew of their sin but with time, people forgot and were forgiving of their situation. His parents didn’t approve of it back then but now they get along just well.

I have seen worst in Halal arranged marriages... 100% negative outcome. So it can never be generalized. If sincere tawbah is done... let them make it halal. There is nothing better than a nikah between two loved ones.

I would be careful not to be so dismissive and judgemental of others, may Allah swt guide those in haram relationships.. the best case scenario after the act of such a situation is that they do take a step back from that haram relationship, and then pursue a halal relationship (and marriage) inshaallah.

I agree but if they change their way and turn back to Allah, it works out. I’ve personally seen this with men that drink and then quit for the sake of Allah or a woman who doesn’t practice or fulfill her rights and then does so for the sake of Allah.

Arranged just means ur parents arranged it but they asked you both if you want to get married, it’s not forced. Good thing is they can divorce if needed and follow Islamic law in halal fashion. A haram relationship is based solely off of lusts.. do we really think being attracted in a lovey dovey way with someone haram wise is rational? You have a kid but who’s the mother and father?

Salam alaykom WA rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu sheikh Omar Suleiman, I am a divorced mother of a three years old boy I live to worship Allah and raise my son to be a good Muslim and why not one of the scholars of İslam, I am looking for a husband who fears Allah and I don't want to make haram relationships not even talking with men in the intention of getting married. The problem is that I don't find the qualities that I seek in my community people in my city and generally my home country are so different from me we grew up in a secular country and applying the rules of İslam 100% is tremendously hard , for exemple no polygamy, they submit only to the rules of the country ( the law) which is too far from Deen. I want to live following my Deen and the Sunnah of our beloved.

I've often felt as if marriage is out of reach for me. But when I look back and look at now. I've just got onto a road of physical, bodily healing and mental healing. V difftbut u gotta control ur nafs and busy urself in something else Like for me I am reading Quran with tafseer , it gives me peace , also whenever u get the thinking of the girl , donot keep on thinking about her , us thought ko usi time remove krdo apne mind se This is shaytan which makes u think , she also used to say like this, and she used to love this foood or street or whatever , and also try to make her understand this , it will be easier if u both block each other at the same time And fir after 6 months or an year, ur mindset is still the same , that is to marry her. , then as sheikh said u can proceed in a halal way I hope it helps

Make sure you have the right mind frame maturity and importantly Islamic Knowledge for marriage. Marrying to make the relationship doesn’t mean things will work out for the long run. Sadly a close brother did the same, his whole family have to support him in his relationship Provide him both meals for Ramadan, his Eid celebrations are at the parents home. His mom reminds him of his prays fasting his charity jummah prays attendance While his now “halal” relationship does not want anything to do with Islam. She’s used a man weakness against him for him to marrying her Completely ignorant of the way his future children will be raised. if his hajj was accepted. All because he wanted to make his haram relationship halal to justify his sins
