My father spend a lot of time moving sand stones out of a pasture and putting them in a steep hollow. He was a dairy farmer and wanted nice pastures. When I got grown and had my own home spot, I spent a lot of my time getting those sand stones out of that hollow and into my yard to make flower beds. My father and I had a good many laughs about that. I even got my husband to move a HUGE stone to our yard with a tractor. When my husband retired and we moved 15 years ago, you can guess what I did. Yes I move many of those sand stones to the new place. I tell my husband, Bennie, that he can place a nice size sand stone on my grave and I would be honored. He hasn’t agreed to that so far. HA Of course, I know the cemetery will not allow that.😥 Keep on doing what you like to do until you can’t. Just be safe. From deep southeast Mississippi.

That rock story rings true with that bunch I was digging out as soil mixed said someone buried them there.
@coolgrandma49522 жыл бұрын
I did the same thing when we moved 12yrs ago. Told my kids that after I die to place a pretty rock/stone on the tombstone, and replace that one with a different rock whenever they visit the cemetery. When our family would be driving somewhere and they spotted a pile of rocks, one of them would say “Mom look to your left/right” the opposite of where the rocks were, because I always found some rock that they had to haul home for me.. Guess what, now my kids are as bad as I am. We now have a geologist in the family, yeah!

It is not a question of can you rest, It is more like, you are not happy resting ! A man that does what he loves is not working, he is playing (does not matter if it is hard, if he gets paid or if he sweats at it), Let's face it you are enjoying yourself. May all mankind find themselves like you have. Cheers and Merry Christmas.

As I build (play with) my cabin (Birth of a NY Cabin) I am often asked "I bet you can't wait until it is completed so you can relax and enjoy it". I try telling them "it isn't the completed project. It's the project itself -- the ups and downs, the joy, sometimes frustration", BUT.. It's work that is so enjoyable and rewarding! They look at me as though I'm not all there. Other than raising my boys there is nothing I'd rather be doing. Ha Ha. Merry Christmas!

My take on this thread, and I don't care if I now get called a Troll. .. Susan made a fair enough initial commitment. ... Alien accused her of being a Troll and suggests Susan has holes in her life. ... I think 🤔.... bit harsh, and maybe a mirror is required for the Alien. .... Susan explains that she's no Troll and genuinely has a concern. ... Alien is again rather harsh but I actually do agree with some of his points regarding natural holes. But would counter that by saying, the local wildlife will not expect such a hole and do have a small chance of falling foul if it's left. Alien also rants a bit more and for all he knows Susan could be in tje woods every day. .... I therefore conclude it Alien that is actually Trolling Susan.
