Fellow cyclist from Alabama, USA here. I really enjoyed your video. I liked the way you edited with all the graphics. Most of your roads are very similar to the rural area I live in. I’ll be looking at more of your videos.

Two words “blooming awesome”, that was a great video and watch Andy. 500 days of winter, not far wrong with that 😀, the 12+% gradients make the 5-6% ones feel like flat roads on climbs, and the weighty winter bike making the carbon summer bike feel alive and as light as feather, can’t wait to jump back off my winter weight to the summer feather. Made me smile all the way through watching that, nice one Andy 😊👍👍

Glad you enjoyed it, you're right across the board there, I can't wait to ride carbon again soon

I'm aiming for the CTC in June, all in a day, been doing just like you, big days in the saddle, learning about when and how to eat, drink has been important and taught me a lot. Well done on an epic effort.

Well done and nice route. Did a very simlar route up to London last saturday (16th) from Clanfield and back... 205km leith and box included... Was also my 1st long distance ride of the year. Good luck for the longer summer riders.

What a ride! Well done. For an average cyclist like myself, the speed you maintained really doesn’t get across how much effort and fitness is needed. Average speed isn’t just about what your legs put out - the number of turns, slow downs, head wind, traffic, climbs, blah blah blah. I did enjoy your box hill climb - i could see you pacing the cyclist that overtook you, until you returned the favour :) :) :) Nice to see your subscriber count gradually climbing. Love the videos, keep ‘em coming.

So decided to give this route a go! Pinched it from your Strava (Sorry). A sniff shorter at 146miles (Clanfield start)... Really enjoyed it. All the climbing early on then down to Ditchling... Well haven't ridden up there for about 30 years (or when the TDF rode over it all those years ago). Only part I didn't enjoy was Brighton city centre roads... people everywhere and also crap pot holed roads!!!. Thanks for the route and advice on it... Enjoy your work.

Nice work. Great ride. Videos getting better with each one, it's obvious you're enjoying making them. Would love to see your filming setup - I have an insta360 x3 (bar mounted) which ive filmed a few rides with just for my own memory, perhaps one day they'll see the light of day! But seems like you handhold the whole way? One other polite suggestion is to consider disabling mid-way ads, they're so annoying it's possible more people won't stick around, and you may get less views (not from experience, just what I've heard). Cant wait to see your first event!
@andycultracycling7 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks I really enjoy making them, it takes ages but really satisfying. I just use a DJI osmo 4 with a grille mount. I haven't paid much attention to the ads actually, KZbin just decides where to put them in unless I change them. To be honest these pay a very small amount anyway I'm not in it for ad revenue, its very small amounts anyway

That was a great ride again Andy what a route ! , to see u travel all the wayfrom the coast and do leith hill boxhill plus then back not bad at all 😅 I cycle those hills together sometimes and its a definite workout . I got a nice circular offroad bikepack route I do when my fitness is better doing epsom downs , Headley, box Hill, ranmore common leith hill and Hurtwood , 70km around 6hrs , takes me days to recover 😅 great area for cycling. Ps 16kg ! I will stop complaining that my whyte 909 hardtail weighs 14kg without kit 😅 Think I need to increase my weekend long rides now the weather is improving cheers

Awesome ride. Only three miles short of the 150 in 10 hrs was amazing. I can see you carry a lightweight (waterproof?) jacket but do you wear any rain specific kit on your lower half to combat the rain and cold? I think I'd get hypothermia after just a couple of hours in soaking wet kit so how do you cope?
@andycultracycling7 ай бұрын
Thanks mate was a great day out :) I just find I need to keep my core warm so a gilet or wind breaker is ok this time of year. Plus keeping the pace up a bit helps, if I ease off or stop then I’ll start to feel it 🥶

I travelled coast to coast from Whitehaven to Redcar over the Pennines 125 miles solo, for charity in 6 hours 38 minutes, including 2 sandwich stops. So 150 miles in 10 hours should be easy. In TT races I have done 100 miles, solo, in less than 4 hours.
