Dude Im loving your channel, it seems like youre really trying to give back to the community! I feel like a lot of the stuff in the last year with collecting has really hit all of us hard, lack of product, scalpers cleaning out what little products are in stores, then online prices inflating,,, its been hard to be a card collector!!! Would love to get a chance to join your givaways win or lose, Ill be watching your vids, old and new! Cheers!

This is super informative. So many influencers have made the pulls from box breaks seem as though they are garunteed to be a 10 and only present the psa 10 value. but this video shows just how many different factors and luck is involved even after a good card is pulled. Great job!
@husky3g3 жыл бұрын
TCA gaming is the best resource for judging the grading. He has sent in probably thousands of cards to PSA at this point and can pretty much tell you whether or not you have a shot at the 10.

Great content. Super nice to have this out there for those who aren't as aware of navigating sources, sellers, quality, grading, sales, and most importantly.. the market. That card will easily break $1k in value if held. Eventually. Probably not this year. Probably not next year. But definitely if given enough time. Right now, in a declining market, savvy folks aren't paying the price they would've payed three months ago for any Pokémon product.

I can't believe I missed this gem! Thank you for giving the reality behind this 3rd market. To add my two cents those top sales were probably influenced and demand it's really hard to get a PSA 10 At times most likely you'll get a 7-8 but a 9 by a miracle or luck. If you are sending it to PSA you are fully aware you are sending the best of the best to get graded. Don't get discouraged you may run into a PSA 10 someday just keep collecting.

Hello 👋 👋 Pat, Now, I love the editing in this video, especially the different tone settings, such as the black and white setting, when you were disappointed that you never got a sale quickly, this really made the video more real. Besides this, I liked the ‘gangster’ look, which your dressed up as for the video, and acting from you, so authentic, it made the video interesting 🤔 🤔. Next, I am thoroughly learning a lot from your collections and Pokémon journey. Also, thank you for sharing Pat, your knowledge as well as experience with Pokémon Pat, this gesture is much appreciated. (Smiles)

@QuasiTheSecond3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunate that super express is the only level open at PSA, definitely something for people to be keeping in mind when sending their cards off for grading is the likelihood that their card gets a good grade vs how much the service level costs and how much time it is going to take to get back to them. Obviously, this video was an experiment and PSA is mostly shut down for new orders, so the $300 service level was required, but hope people are taking those things into consideration.

I've had excellent results with flipping raws. My wife and I open 20-100 packs a day without being a major seller or trader, just for fun. We flipped plenty of full arts, trainer fulls, and amazing older cards without buying over original price for packs/boxes. I got multiple Lugia V's from silver tempest waiting to sell.

The way u visually broke down the chances of pulling that dragonite was so great I would enjoy that content with other chase cards

I think you made the right decision holding on to it. You could get lucky and have the value increase in the future, and if not its a beautiful piece to have in your collection. @TheBerkAlaraShow3 жыл бұрын
Many times if you get a pack fresh modern chase card in the first few days of release, the prices on those ungraded cards are inflated. If you take that same card and get it graded, wait the appropriate 1-2 months you will be probably selling it for less than the inflated prices of the release day prices. If your intention is to sell the cards, then don't grade it, but if you are wanting to keep them long term, then grading is a way to keep them authentic and pack fresh for years to come.
@WillsThoughts3 жыл бұрын
interesting going through the whole process and filming it. yeah so hard to pull off, the odds are against you. i prefer buying rather than opening packs unless money isnt an issue

The modern card is going to sell quickly.
@pluspwrpokemon14193 жыл бұрын
That is what I am expecting too. That Sylveon is fetching a fair price too.
@CharlesBae3 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of new hobbyist (like myself) prefer modern cards because of several factors. The visual quality of alternate art cards are more premium and a natural evolution from vintage cards. They are created by artists, rely less on 3D models, higher in narrative concept (not just a pin up). My hunch is that a card like alt art sylveon card has a wider audience where both veteran collectors and novice hobbyists want the new hot card, especially graded. I appreciate the dragonite card but I would never purchase one nor do I feel a need to have one in my collection. The audience for that card seems niche (loves dragonite, needs it to complete collection, loves vintage, etc.) whereas the espeon card casts a much wider net. Lastly the alternate cards are more timeless. 5-10 years from now they won’t look dated.
@pluspwrpokemon14193 жыл бұрын
@@CharlesBae I think you hit the nail on the head for this. A huge factor for when I jumped out of the hobby (Diamond & Pearl) and now back into it was due to the art. Sylveon also has the advantage of being from the new set as well as being a fan favorite pokemon, like you did mention. The price on the card maybe inflated for the time but this isn't anything new when a new set drops. Well said though amigo!
@Bad888Max3 жыл бұрын
Psa should have opened more facilities in whole world. Like Eu and Asia and employed more people and kept the old prices. They would have monopoly. Now grading companies popping all around . But people still want psa and bgs. Not other grading companies.
@SandslashSquad3 жыл бұрын
This is also the best pull from that set as well right? Its definitely fun to join the streams and have someone open your pack but for the most part I think everyone definitely ends up losing money in the end. You pay for the experience. My friend always sends me PSA 10 screenshots of his card (his is raw) and I always have to remind him its a M.O.M. Great video once again Pat. Going DEEP 🤓🥳
@deeppocketmonster3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Anthony!

Great video that more so highlights the reality of box break economics. You paid $600 for the pack, and basically pulled the best possible card. but even in a "9", you're going to take a bath on the pack you bought. Harsh reality. I agree fully with your end decision to simply hold for now.
