Can I sew a dress in a day? | DIY Réalisation Par Alba dress | Thrills and Stitches

Can I make a dress in a day? I set myself the very ambitious task to sew a whole dress in a single day, lining, zip, bias skirt and all - simply for the thrill of it. This dress is modelled after a beautiful design by the brand Réalisation Par and originally retails for £230 - my DIY Réalisation Par Alba dress version cost me about £50 (and a few nerves).
This video is part of my fall capsule wardrobe-making efforts. I really love the outcome so much and am super happy with the fit. The shirred back makes the dress very comfy and versatile to combine with other pieces, like a t-shirt or turtleneck on cooler days.

Hi! Would this work with gauze fabric?

Hey! Good question - I haven’t worked much with gauze myself, but I would imagine it works with single gauze (double gauze will be too bulky and hot, ultimately). But that’s just an educated guess. Hope it helps!
