what about 3 wires together?

For a three wire junction, I would for example, have 1 wire on the left and 2 wires on the right. I would strip all three wires equally. I would slide heat shrink tubing onto the left single wire. I would then twist the right 2 wires together with a not too aggressive twist. I would then make the same "western union type" connection as I showed in the video by making a hook on each twisted wire (single wire on the left, and double "joined" wire on the right) twist them as in the video, solder the connection afterwards and then slide the heat shrink down from the left wire onto the "cooled down" soldered connection and apply the heat shrink tubing over the connection with heat. Alternatively, if you don't have heat shrink tubing, wrap the connection up tightly with electrical tape. I hope this helps.
