After dozens of playthroughs and randos, I've just realized the rightmost rock blocking the carriage in garden ( 24:47 ) is a partially broken moai head. edit: "weathered and old" is probably a better way to describe it, which makes it feel... intentional.

Nice gameplay- Cool to see some hard mode exclusive attacks on the bosses. I can verify, though, that the Abyss Guardian dragon does have the laser beam in normal mode, but perhaps on hard mode it uses it more often.

Yeah, Abyssal Guardian seems to usually open with the laser in Hard mode, while he usually waits a while in Normal.

Zipseeds are good for bite sized watching, but getting a good tour of the castle doesn't happen enough. I haven't seen the train or oriental lab in forever! Even Alfred hasn't shown up in so long.

Personally, I think races should be ran in hard mode. Would be nice with the extra boss patterns to run lol

I second this! That's how I race Order of Ecclesia as well with my brother, we find it to be more enjoyable that way since it's no longer just speed, but more reliant on skill as well. Normal mode still takes skill for the speed aspect, but Hard Mode just requires more to not die and still come out the winner, you know?

From what I've experienced, I really don't think difficulty affects drop rates.

ngl, you really lucked out a bit as Hard mode runs can be...rough. Also, you really, REALLY need to start looking at the dismantle menu in these randos, Just on the off chance something top tier can be gotten from there. And I'm rather surprised you didn't do one of the secret code names to give yourself a *admittly weak* weapon to cover your assests in case the ship doesn't pay out. Then again, same type Rando so... and Horray! You learned Poison is good!.. too bad it was the purples and Aqua Stream was gotten so soon after :(.

This rando run feels odd to me. He skipping most enemies BUT decide to farm frogs for a long period of time and a key ability drops. Just feels too suspicious like he knew that was the drop

Its one of the settings. Shard types are shuffled amongst enemies that drop those types. Its why he stopped to kill just about everything in his path that drops a directional shard because like 3 of the 6 or 7 things you're looking for are Dshards. Its also why he went out of his way for the passive shard in the cathedral. It ended up being a useless shortcut shard but it could have been invert or super jump or deep sinker. Its a setting that really rewards knowing the game like the back of your hand.
