If you don't have anything to cook, you don't strictly need a campfire on your first night. You can light a torch with a firestarter, and if it's cold you can wall yourself up with dirt; just being in an enclosed space helps with warmth.

I'm glad Vintage Story is back on the radar! Your videos from a few years back were the reason I got into it as well, but I've never played the Homo sapiens mode. I may need to dip back into VS and give it a shot after watching this, though! 👀 On another note? I totally support and encourage your decision to begin further diversifying your videos. Much as I enjoy Zomboid, myself, it has admittedly gotten a little stale... And with algorithms and numbers controlling us as much as they do, creativity and passion can falter. Pretty sure you could do this mode manually by editing the world gen settings already. It's just pre-configured now.

The characters aren’t human, although not much is known about why they exist we do know the species and that would be the Saraphim. (Idk if I’m spelling it right) Sarah-fim

Seraphim can have two different definitions depending on which you prefer. Seraphim in biblical terms are angels closest to god. His most trusted & devoted followers. In renaissance era philosophy, Seraphim was a term used to refer to a “paragon of humanity”. A true virtuous/selfless person. I believe the Seraphim might either be Falxs big plan to halt the plague or some kind of being sent down through time & space by some greater deity to combat the rot & resettle Earth or wherever we are

@@MercDoesStuff oh ofc lol I really get into the lore of different games especially when they possess lovecraftian or old world elements like Vintage Story. Another small but weird observation I made is that the Seraphim’s resting body temp is 100°F(using freedom units mod) which isn’t too far off from the average range of human body temperature but 100°F is technically considered a fever in humans so it seems that the Seraphim might possibly be more likely to withstand slightly hotter climates easier. Another weird thing is that you have a choice to pick a kind of class in the beginning like Commoner, Blackguard, Malefactor, Hunter, etc. which were all occupations far before the time of The Returning(the event that saw the Seraphim appearing on the planet) so why would a seraphim hold these occupations & possess their associated traits unless they’re some kind of modified/enhanced human that has previous life experiences & were somehow able to survive several hundred years? A lot of unanswered questions in the lore for now but I think there’s so much we can draw from what little we have so far & that’s a sign of some pretty good world building Anyways sorry yap session over I need to figure out how to get this godforsaken windmill to look pretty 💀
