Canada is actually a very good, popular spawn. It gives you access to Greenland and Alaska, not to mention a lot of land in N.A., so good choice overall.

Video idea: try to win by spawning in Indonesia. I can't seem to win no matter what I do when I spawn in those islands, either being sandwiched from huge guys from Australia (and sometimes that big island underneath it) or from the direction from India. I can't boat fast enough to try and get more land like I can from japan. So I'm interested in seeing how you would play from the islands of Indonesia, thanks!

Or the Falkland Islands. Tahiti is physically impossible. You can't send a boat to South America before your troops run out.
