You wanna know a good twin stick shooter which is my favorite game to speedrun? Iron Man DS. the bottom screen gives you 360° aiming and it's very rewarding to memorize the level layout since you aren't given a map.

Glad you liked Pepper Grinder. It's on my GOTY list so far. RE being told it's Sonic-like. I wouldn't say that persay. It's more I feel like it has a sense of flow and momentum that a Sonic fan could find appeal in. You get areas with an optimal higher route, you're rewarded for keeping your movement up, and you find the game feels more fun the more you play. I mean not necessarily "you" specifically, but that's my experience.

But what if i don't like most indie games?
@Tokonokomoko8 ай бұрын
One of the biggest problems I have with Indie game is that a huge majority go for that 8/16-bit look which after so many years I feel is getting pretty boring to see. The gameplay could be amazing, but the same old graphic style has me worn out after so many games of seeing it being used. I understand for some it’s the easiest and cheapest option to go with, but I wouldn’t mind more indie games that pushed for more artistic art styles, or maybe a style of 32/64-bit like you would see on the PS1 or N64 back in the day. Kind of a cliche example, but Smiling Freinds Season 2 character Gwimbly has that kind of style that I mean. That blocky style you’d only see on something like a PlayStation with Crash and Spyro

Speaking from experience, good pixel art requires significant effort. The best artists make it look easy, but it's anything but. When your canvas is that small, the placement of every pixel is important and you have to make really hard decisions about which details should and shouldn't be included. That said, I am enjoying seeing more low-poly stuff. We're starting to get that via stuff like Corn Kidz 64, Hotshot Racing and Crow Country.

I haven't bought a "AAA" game since Diablo 3 which was 12 years ago. It was so broken when it came out I decided to never again give these overgrown and poorly run companies my money..

does gaming need saving?
@WebstersYouTube7 ай бұрын
I'd say so, in so much as the AAA space feels very bland, boring and uninspired. The same camera angle, the same radio buddy and the same tongue-in-cheek Marvel writing style are causing mainstream games to blend together into an indistinct goop.

Most of my buys these days are indie, or PS3 games. New games are garbage IMO, wide as an ocean in scale with the depth of a puddle. No intelligence with most "AAA" or "AAAA" titles if you've heard\seen the latest spiel.
