Can someone explain the strap thing on the neck, on the third fret? I’ve seen them all over but have never been explained and idk what they’re called or what they’re for. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
@deadbeatstudios5 жыл бұрын
No prob! It's called a fretwrap by Gruv Gear. It dampens the strings to keep them from ringing out when you don't want them to ;) Very cool trick!

Great video dude! Question...what is that clip/guard on the 3rd fret on your fretboard? I've seen bassists use those squeeze hair things. I guess to add less of a buzz? Where can I get one?
@deadbeatstudios7 жыл бұрын
They're called fretwraps and they're awesome! The company is Gruv Gear, you can get em here www.gruvgear.com/products Thanks Jahi!

is there any special reason that you play with your right hand on the frett?? its easier or the sound change or what? Sorry my english :P

Not a problem - your english is fantastic! I probably do that to keep the tapping hand closer to where it needs to be tapping. Hope that helps!

Not keen on the envelope filter but lovely use of the fretboard Jayme
@richarddixon43594 жыл бұрын
in his defense i think when making a tutorial video on a specific technique, it would be preferable to have it on a clean setting. at least at first so the notes are easily distinguishable, since it isn't the filter you're showcasing. i found myself loosing track of some of the notes when you sped it up. also not saying it's a bad envelope, it does sound super juicy and muddy in a good way. great vid though, helped a lot
