I was listening to it before it became this "alpha male music" (at least i think i was) so it's nostalgic to me. It's sad that people just brush it off as weird "alpha male music" now, not a bad song imo

Dude, Can You Feel My Heart was like my favorite track for a long time. I don't think it's just about "Being the main character". It's just an incredibly adrenaline-pumping track. It was the song that got me into Bring Me The Horizon's discography because i'd heard it before relating to meme-culture, and they now stand as one of my favorite bands. Also check out the album it came from, totally revolutionized metalcore as a whole

Holy crap man, seing a healthy young dude talking about sigmas like some creatures aside of the human race is crazy. this video made me subscribe (maybe a common thing content creators see in their comment section, but still it's the win for me). for several months I was kinda depressed because of how irrational and offensive (so much they're biased) people are yet setting those traits as ones of "L" people. r1ght w1ng shorts made me feel sick for quite a time. just a few days ago started to recover from all the sh1t and your video was just such a relief and satisfaction to me. you probably don't care, but I do tho ❤

As someone that enjoys phonk, im always scared to tell someone i listen to it, because i know they will immediately think of the type of songs mentioned in the video. Then i have to explain a bit of the history of phonk and what i actually listen to when i say "phonk". That's why im glad you talked about what phonk really is, the memphis rap vocals, rap and trap influences mixed with funk and jazz. And thats what i listen to, traditional phonk. I like the iconic samples, the calm vibes, the melodies and beats, it all mixes so well and thats why i love this genre. I listen to it when i want to listen to some rap, but some electronic music too, and maybe some jazz, a combination of it all. If you search properly, you can find many great traditional phonk albums and artists, like Soudiere, DJ Smokey, Cody Valdez and erickD to name a few. And i dont hate drift phonk, i have many in my playlist, but i reserve them when i want to listen to something more energetic, maybe playing something or doing some exercise, but i listen to it while doing the dishes too. And there are many good drift phonk songs that dont fall in the boring, repetitive, ballooned, loud sigma edits phonk songs. You just need to dig more in the genre. (and as a little bit of info, Drift Phonk started in russia) I just dont like the image "phonk" has on mainstream social media, the cringe, main character typa music, and wanted to shed some light on what someone that actually listens to the genre and knows its history listens to. And the video is great. Im binge watching your videos and i really like your content, i hope you keep it up and good luck

Hey, brazillian here, there is actually some funny things about brazillian phonk specifically, it's really niche, like a subgenre of a subgenre both in brazil and outside, despite being popular online you would very hardly find anyone hearing it in parties here, also it was not really made to be "sigma music", it kinda just like all the other songs got picked up for some reason by this community as you said, i guess the reason it sounds that way is because some brazillians and americans really like distorted, ear ringing, bass and drums, so combining them for the appeal of the chants and frightening nature of both just made sense i guess, and maybe why it appeals to the alpha community.

The Classical music level is kind of spot on. A lot of the guys I know who buy into a lot of the sigma male content-funnels listen to classical music. I always saw it as a posturing move to try to look smarter, more sophisticated, etc. You could ask them for suggestions and they can only give you random playlists because they actual songs or composers don’t matter. They just want to adorn the aesthetic of someone who is capable of appreciating classical music. This isn’t really a jab at them because I think a lot of music consumption has revolved around the aesthetics of a genre for a while now. “I want to be A, therefore I should listen to X, Y, and Z.”
