Coming from personal experience. 2 weeks ago I had an asthma attack. I was praying to God and ask Mother Mary to pray for me for the attack to stop. While I was sleeping I was holding my rosary. When I move my rosary towards my chest, I had the biggest exhale of my life and the attack stopped. To answer the question, the answer is yes! Mary can hear our prayers. The Lord did answer my prayer thanks to her intersession.

I've learned about Mother Mary from my mom, grandma, and aunty (RIP + ) . So many people ask why do Catholics pray to Mary, and not Jesus? If it makes us closer to and love Jesus more, I say why not. I believe the doubters and haters don't really know the meaning of interceding for us, her prayers are powerful with her son, Jesus Christ, as they have a special bond like no other. I still pray the Rosary, as it gives me a sense calmness and personal peace that no other thing on earth, person/materials/drugs can ever do for me. Jesus / Mary / Joseph... pray for Us. Amen.

The Old Testament is just as important and there are answers to these questions found in scripture. To answer your first question, the Angel hailed Mary once. How many times have you hailed Mary? To hail is to greet, so when we greet Mary, we say Hail Mary. It’s as simple as that. The saints are not deceased because God has given them life. They are one with us and the pray for us just as the Bible says in the books of Revelations and Hebrews. The rosary wasn’t a part of the church for a long time, doesn’t make it wrong. It’s a collection of prayers that I highly encourage you try. Also Mary is the Mother of God. That is something you cannot say otherwise. If you do, you are saying that Jesus is not God. How unwise and foolish of you to claim this. We make the sign of the cross because we pray in the name of Jesus, who said to do these wonders in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The cross shows us how Jesus Christ saved us, you can never be reminded too much of the salvific nature of the cross. Lastly, Jesus never directly mentioned Purgatory, but He did indicate that there are sins that can be forgiven in the life to come, yet according to the book of Revelations, nothing unclean can enter the kingdom. Sooo, where do these saved souls (who are still unclean) go before they are fully cleaned? Another case where Purgatory is revealed is 2 Maccabees. Whether you believe the canonicity of the book of 2 Maccabees, there is historical evidence that shows that Jews believed in praying for deceased so that they would be redeemed. This is the same belief that the Apostles (and Jesus) were raised. And lastly, in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, Paul graphically details what Purgatory is and what it does, the term purgatory is not mentioned, but it doesn’t have to be. The term trinity doesn’t appear in scripture. Doesn’t make it untrue. Football isn’t mentioned in the Bible, is it now satanic propaganda? Your argument points nowhere. To say that something is not explicitly found in scripture is redundant, because the physical presence of Christ in the elements of the Last Supper is clearly and explicitly taught in scripture, yet I’m sure beyond a shadow of a doubt you don’t believe it. Does this answer your questions? I hope so.

Revelation 12:1 says: "A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars" The sun, the moon and the twelve stars are exact elements in the dream of Joseph in Genesis 37:9. That represents Israel (the old covenant), not the Virgin Mary. Israel is the one that gives Christ to the world and after He's taken to God, the woman, which is now the Church of the new covenant (with the 12 stars that were the apostles) was pursued by the dragon (and that's what happened since the first century until today where thousand of christians are persecuted). A couple things you may want to research is when the Bible was canonized in the fourth century, who canonized it and there were 73 books for almost 1200 years until one man came along and removed things that did not conform to his scrupulosity issues. He also removed the books of Revelation, Hebrews, Jude and James but put them back in after outcry. The original 1611 King James Bible had all 73 books.

The Creed says … “I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.” The communion of saints is in my opinion asking the saints in heaven to intercede for us because they are closer to God. Mary is the holiest saint. She is the mother of Jesus. Her intercessions are more likely to be acted upon. At the marriage feast at Cana those aware that the wine had run out told Mary…..Mary told Jesus….and Jesus responded in the most generous abundant way imaginable. That is why I pray to Mary. She is my mother as well as being the mother of Jesus. Her prayers are powerful.

Look at the timing: The "reformation" had greatly divided Europe politically and religiously, resulting in regional wars. So, what's an ambitious and expansionist Ottoman Turk leader to make of this? The battle was a substantial part of slowing Muslim expansion into Europe. So, those from Europe who are NOT Muslim, might thank the Holy League and the power of the Rosary.

The question should not be if they hear you. Scripture itself strictly forbids calling upon the dead to seek mediation. Why would that be the case if we could just pray only to God and that's it? Just this week about 3 different content creators all Protestant did videos on the Catholic Church all debunking Catholic theology. It took me 52 years to make it to the Catholic Church all because of this constant criticism coming from Protestant theology I didn’t even realize it until I started going to a Catholic Church and learning about what they believed from them instead of second hand. I have been asking Mary to please pray for me because I now believe she is alive with Christ in heaven. I ask her to help me be silent because I’m exhausted with trying to figure out everything and being misunderstood when I try to explain my feelings. Sometimes you just gotta sit in adoration and just listen. I appreciate your channel so much. As a convert I feel nobody understands. The Methodist church just split and the focus is on what the Catholic Church teaches and not how to unite the Methodist faith together. One day someone mentioned to me they felt the Protestant church’s will one day unite back to the church I pray that it does. I am going to stop listening to some of the Protestant pastors because the important thing to focus on is getting people to turn back to god not contentious critiques because the church has been the same for 2,000 years.

once youve had Christ send you to the rosary instead of answering your prayers directly, and by praying it Mary crushes the head of all the demons in your life in an instant, there's really no question anymore. all this is true, and it points to Christ. the people who reject this notion are doing it because they have been told to. it's not from empirical knowledge. i would challenge anyone who bashes catholic practices to 1) pray the entire rosary every day for a week. 2) visit the inside of a confessional (in accordance with church law). there's NO comparison to the other way of being. the graces and truth that comes with it is undeniable.

My answer to such questions is to teach that the creed identifies the communion of Saints as a belief and doctrine. The Saints who have passed into eternity are still in communion with us because they live in eternity which is not bound by the laws of time and space that we in the world are. Just as I might ask a friend to agree with me in prayer on a matter, we can ask one of the Saints to assist us in prayer as well.

St Alphonsus Liguori demonstrates in the book 'The Glories of Mary' that God allows Mary and the Saints a share in his omniscience, which is to say Mary is omniscient through participation, but not by nature. We know that Heaven is beyond all space and time, and is a different 'pitch' of reality altogether. Those in Heaven are participating in reality at entirely different levels than we are down below. In Lukes gospel we read that Saint Elizabeth was 'Filled with the Holy Spirit' and was able to know, through God's intervention, that Mary was carrying the Christ Child when she visited her. We also hear in Acts that the apostles know that Ananias and Sapphira have lied to them, because God has revealed this to them. How much more could this type of knowledge be granted in Heaven? Also, if God can reveal in prayer that a particular person is struggling and needs you to pray for them (as many Protestants will have experienced), how much greater can he reveal things to those in Heaven who are no longer bound by finite mortal minds? I not only see no logical contradictions here, but biblical precedent as well. Hail Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

I am Catholic and I was taught when you confess your sins to the Priest (Like the Jews did) he would tell you how many Hail Mary's you must do for whatever sin it was he thought necessary. Notice you Hail Mary, not pray, and this was a discipline to keep you from sinning again (To help you not sin the same sin). So, Mother Mary is not even in the same world we are in. I do say you British do have a way to make Gods chosen people look bad! We still pray the way we were told to, which is to the Father only because he is the only one that can hear us and goes to God for us and forgives us of our sins. We say in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So, my question is How do you pray to Mother Mary and why?
