Dutch is spoken in the Netherlands (Holland), Belgium, Suriname (a country in South America) and the Dutch Carribean (ABC Islands, Aruba, Bonnaire and Curacao) and we have the Dutch creole Afrikaans in South African and Namibia. It is not that useless, I mean you were speaking to people in South Africa in Dutch and you come from the Netherlands (Holland). Mind you the Netherlands is also a very good country to live in. One of the best countries in the world.

Maybe you saying this coz you never experienced what black folks went thru during Apartheid. This is really disgusting honestly, y'all must change. Also, learn more about SA history, these 3 are 'born free' thus they don't know much about it as you say, their parents were forced to know about White people. 2:43 Lol that Lasizwe actually corrected you and said "Afrikaans" when you said Dutch speaks volumes of the huge colonisation of the mind that took place. There's no such thing as Afrikaans. There's nothing Africa about their dialect of Dutch. Languages naturally evolve when people leave their native land. That language is and always will be Dutch. This was a lot of fun to watch.

The Dutch didn’t implement Afrikaans lol They implemented Dutch and then slaves and natives spoke broken Dutch mixed with their native languages. Afrikaans was for brown people, u couldn’t use it in Church , no Bible. The Quran was the first religious book translated into Afrikaans. Then Dutch people adopted it after the English colonized South Africa and banned them from speaking Dutch. Then Anglo Boer war, the Dutch took the Cape Colony back “Die Kaap is weer Hollands” term comes from. The majority of Afrikaans speakers are coloured people. Afrikaans has French, Portuguese, Malaysian-Indonesian, English, Dutch and Khoi languages mixed in. Our sentence construction some we got from the French settlers mostly fleeing religious persecution. Naartjie is an Asian fruit word. Gogga is Khoi. If u look deeper than the oppressive brand it got during apartheid you’ll realize it was the language of the enslave & only connection a lot of us have to our diverse heritage that’s complex.
