Winning on the road vs a ranked non-conference team is nearly impossible, but PSU has not had a good win in last 5 yrs. The Big-10 is weak and PSU has only had one road game vs a ranked big-5 power conference team (Auburn in 2022) in last 5 yrs!! PSU is the weakest team of all 12 teams and Big-10 is extremely overrated with 2 NCs in last 26 yrs (with the 2nd most selection of any other conference, but SEC has had 15 NCs...so SEC selections is deserved). I think that PSU is weak enough to actually lose a home game vs a non-conference team. BTW, don't use the stats from Oregon game where PSU trailed by double digits throughout the game. Expect SMU to beat PSU. Be happy that this team with NO good wins in last 5 yrs is actually picked to have an unfair home game.

It’s not about ranked wins anymore with 12 team playoffs it’s top 5 performance like Penn state playing even with Oregon and outplaying Ohio state and the other top teams Oregon Georgia Ohio state Tenn playing top 5 teams. What you can’t do is lose or bad team.
