Multiple Super Bowls were 25+ point blowouts in the 80's and 90's. The Bulls beat the Utah Jazz by 50+ points in the Finals. The Yankees beat the Dodgers 11-4 in the World Series.

They also like to say the big 10 is 2 teams which for the most part is also true but besides Bama and Georgia the only other team to win a title somewhat recently would be LSU and that was one and done. So are the leagues that much difference? The only cross play you get is in bowl games in the past and a matchup or 2 here and there is not enough of games between the 2 to really say. it's easy. with a playoff system you no longer need conference championship games and bowl games. i guess you could make the playoff games bowl games if you wanted to like they are doing with some of them. just take the top 16 teams regardless of conference. 8 games down to 4 down to 2 down to 1. keep it simple. none of this auto bid conference and bye week crap. #1 plays #16 and so forth. i guess if they have to do the bye week thing then top 8 teams get a bye regardless of conference. stop trying to include every conference in everything when they don't deserve it. best teams are the best teams. it doesn't matter what conference they are from. if you wanna compete with the big boys then schedule tougher games instead of trying to get a cakewalk into the playoffs hiding in your weak conference where you play sub-par teams.

No the NFL does not have standardized SOS. Teams in the same division don't all have the same exact schedule. Let alone teams in the same conference, let alone ones in a different conference. No sport has a standardized SOS. Teams in a division play each other more than they play teams out of division. In the NFL, the NFC East plays each team in division twice, then they each share some common opponents in a different division. Some teams in a division together may only have 10-12 common opponents, meaning their schedules also include 5-7 unique opponents. Who.told you that was a standardized SOS?

No, they shouldn't have. Because it obviously should be about who deserved to be there and earned their spot. Only SEC fans, deserved state to see Henri undeserving 3 loss teams in the playoffs, are saying this. And if shoe was on the other foot, and it was sec teams who deserved to be there while better teams were left out... Suddenly you would say it should be about who deserves to be there.
