Sounded like Plouffe was given a list of things he was forced to say and wasn't allowed to say anything even slightly neutral. "The mic probably sounds fine" without even trying to test it. If that's true, he should be more enthusiastic that he found his perfect product for EVERYTHING he looked at.
@thunderarch59512 жыл бұрын
Stupid comment Fine doesn't mean perfect, so the last part of your comment shows your limitations in comprehending what you're watching and listening to He just gave a general opinion on the products, and also said some things he'd have like to be done differently You can't give perfect descriptions at a showcase cause you don't have hours to try them properly These are also products coming out in months, so are prototypes, wouldn't make much sense to do that anyways And remember that on short circuit they mostly do unboxing and stuff, not proper full reviews, that hardly happens Tldr, dumb comment, use your brain.

Nobody uses the Logitech G502 for the weights. Anyone who uses the G502 uses it primarily for the notched/free-spin toggle on the scroll wheel. If, by some niche chance, someone wants the G502 heavier then they would sooner be looking at the lightspeed wireless version for the battery weight. But even then, most getting that would want the scroll-wheel toggle AND the wireless. Mouse weights, let's be honest, are very gimmicky and superfluous.

The wired 502 could be heavier, with such a high resolution, it barely needs to move, and consequently benefits greatly from the additional stability inertia provides. Incremental vs free scrolling loses much value, where middle mouse button clicking for scrubbing is permitted. OTF resolution, and fine control buttons are invaluable. Signal management might be seen like cable management, if not limited for other reasons. Latency may no longer be an issue, but a wired mouse never needs to recharge. It is a solid mouse, and the closest thing to a G5 currently being made, afaik. There might not be many that change the weight of their 502 often, but they may use the weights.

I know they do it for the RGB but they always sound clacky. Clacky sounds come across mics easier as well. so other's have a better chance of hearing your type even if you're using linear switches. As an actual minimalist and plays games, that's just beyond excessive. Too much things are going on both in design and the lights. All I need is a functional high DPI mouse like the Logitech MX Anywhere or Master series. You don't need to have a mouse for all your work/personal/casual lifestyle gadgets since a single mouse can connect to all of them at the same time. Eliminating the need to have more than one at a time and they function well on any occasion. I'd challenge Plouffe or any of the LTT staff to bring one of those mice during a boardroom meeting with investors with the "minimalist rgb" on and see how they feel about it. As for keyboards, they're just the most regular looking keyboard out there. As aforementioned, an actual minimalist will just have one keyboard to bring anywhere. Keychrons or MX Master minis will literally fit in anywhere and can have backlight and a little rgb. You pull that Philip's one up in a coffee shop and it's expected to host a rave with all the RGB strips it incorporates into the design. It seems like they really maximized the possibile lighting on a minimalist keyboard. A minimalist item would be something that's lowkey and has multifunctionality. It can have RGB as long as it's not the main selling point and their designs don't scream "I AM A GAMER SO EVERYTHING I HAVE IS RGB" kind of energy, which all the items on this video failed to do. RGB can be minimalist, but this line just ain't it.

plouffe comparing mice by dpi is just, 16k dpi, 20k dpi, like who the hell uses more than 3200 dpi for anything. apart from this the KEYBOARD guy saying that some trash 180 euro keyboard is not bad is just, damn.

I'd appreciate if the whole craze with RGB just died down and they focused more on actual functionality, my gpu is eating enough and more electricity and it's a pain seeing so many lights after I come home from work

Either Plouffe is really small or those products are made for giants.

But yes the first option for any brand is going to be closed back because it's more versatile.

Remember kids if you want to be *"inclusive"* you need to buy the white variations of the products. But all joking aside I actually do like how the white keyboard looks especially how good the RGB looks. I wouldnt call it a minimalist style but it still looks nice especially that scroll wheel

Personally a nice concrete grey would be far more minimalist IMO

I never understood the point of RGB on headsets. You won't see it while you're wearing it.

I like them better, when you can run them wired or wireless. Both is better, than either, or. When it doubt, wired.

Plouffe is just furiously pleasuring Philips reps over there for a free vacation. “OMG this is so minimalist and inclusive! My gender fluid is going everywhere!” 💦
