The bottle with the metal spout on is how gas stations used to sell motor oil to customers. They would fill them from a 55 gallon drum, and when a customer needed a quart of oil in their motor, the attendant would dump it in. (Widely used before oil was sold in tin cans)

I think the old gentleman you found at the beginning of the video, was very happy to be able to save thanks to you, something from the rubbish dump. Yes, it looked like quite a few vintage items in that dumpster. That granny square afghan would sell for around 25.00 on Ebay...but would sell for about 45-50 if you use keywords "Dark Shadows". :)

@@darstill2195 this term comes from the 1960's TV series by that name. It featured time jumps and parallel time episodes and the same granny square afghan would appear in 1960 scenes, 1747 scenes, 1892 scenes and so forth. This type afghan was already popular in the 60's but took on the nickname of the "Dark Shadows" afghan. The best sellers are the granny square ones rimmed in black because that is the color scheme of the TV one. The show was a Gothic soap opera with a "cult" following and die hard fans look for this term when purchasing items from the show or related in any way. :)

I vaguely remember "Dark Shadows" , I was too young, but my sisters would watch it after school. 1st time I'd heard about the Afghan though, now I have to tell my sisters. Wow! Great finds!! The flower hanger thingy can also be used to hang bird feeders from. Hubby and I were both screaming at ya about putting the glass hurricane in the front seat... lol. I think others have already covered the dumpster. Great haul!!

In your last video you showed us that you needed front tyres. I'm a mechanic. You need a wheel alignment. Tyres should wear evenly across the tread of the tyre. At a lot of tyre shops they offer a free wheel alignment if you buy a set of four.

You should attach some oversized S hooks from the rails inside of your van. They could be very handy for hanging up some of your finds. Also, a 6" piece of water pipe attached to wall if your van would be great for Shepard hooks, fishing poles, golf clubs, fence posts, metal rods and lawn tools.
