Enjoying your build. However you said you were putting the bracings up with screws so if you decided to change them sometime you could take them back down. Wouldn't it have been better to put the screws in from the inside instead of from the outside and then cover them with siding? Just a thought.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate today. Glad to see all your progress, it sure is going up fast! You two are always thinking two steps ahead. This makes me think of my Grandpa’s barn in Southwestern Pennsylvania. It was built pre revolutionary war, saw generations of kids playing in the haymow, swinging from a rope from the rafters, being scared by the bull. It all came down in a fire stated by a kid smoking inside. Knocked out power for thirty miles. My grandpa didn’t lose any animals, lost equipment. He didn’t farm much after that. Always looked wrong as well. It was a huge beautiful barn. Your barn is looking good.

Meh. To me it would make a better beginner barn. I wouldn't use that to raise livestock. 4-6 stall mare motel would have been better. It's a solid building with enough room to expand. but as you stated many times you're just getting started so I assume you're going to be expanding. But I definitely hope you do not rely on this as your only animal structure.

Good Morning! It was so satisfying for my OCD to see that long diagonal brace between the trusses at 15:41! I know wood is a natural product, so every piece goes the way it wants to go. That's what makes it so lovely to see it assembled in a way that forces it to end up straight and exactly where the engineer wanted it to go. A truss roof done right delights us who long for precision.

They will be using deep bedding.

The deep bedding will absorb the animal waste. Future layers of bedding will cover previous layers and all of the bedding will ultimately go to to a compost pile
