"Your depression might just be that you're not living up to your potential, that you're playing too small." Awesome line, I'm sharing it with someone who I think needs to hear it. You're on the right path thinking about starting that company you've been dreaming of. I did the same 2 years ago, I had fears and doubts, but none of it turned out to be real. If you can deal with rejection and not make failure mean shit, you'll be successful!

@tariqdajour it just felt like a pattern of getting bored and wanting to do more but never starting, really. Congrats to you for taking the leap! I've learned to transmute moments of rejection into fuel, if anything some rejection would be nice actually!

That's a cool story how your manager took your feedback Melissa. Great that you spoke up!

Best yet - you are dead on about depression and about living small. If your idea involves manufacturing -let me know im in!

The thing that saved me from the hustle is not wanting a gf. Before every time something went awry businesswise i was livid with anger. Then i asked myself why the fk do i even want money? To get a gf...But what if i didnt want no gf? Then i wouldnt care about money. Such a liberation it is... I think the girl equivalent of this is not wanting a bf so you dont have to give a shit about your loox... Diogenes is my idol if it wasnt this cold in this icy hell my address would read wine barrel already...

a job is just a place in productive society, it's fun to belong somewhere and do something useful

@maplelake6963 I agree. Lots of fulfillment and satisfaction can come from belonging somewhere and enjoying what you do.
