Mason at the Capit warehouse is a great guy, I'm sure they will keep you happy. I bought and drive their old show truck the Dozer Yellow JK and they are a great bunch of guys to deal with. Thanks Casey. I haven't worked my 2021 Wrangler EcoDiesel like you have and haven't heard the clunk noise yet even with 46,000 miles on it. But if I hear it, I will know what to do. All these little details help.

I have a name brand tent, name (start with T) that is a pain. Takes 45 minutes to set up and take down. Your new tent looks practical.

The Gladiator is a nice rig. My guess is a fully loaded Ranger Raptor, GMC Canyon AT4X and the Colorado ZR2 are $58,000us. The Comparable Gladiator is $71,000us with the same features of the other 3. That’s a $13,000 price increase for 100+ less horsepower and torque it’s easy to see why they are not selling.

Define "fully loaded". If you're talking a ZR2 Bison or AT4X "AEV Edition" then I'd bet its closer to $65K. That's how much the "Desert Boss" and "First Edition" versions of those trucks cost. The Raptor seems like it'll be around $58K but I'll note... unlike the GM and Jeep options you're not going to get things like a winch capable bumper from factory with the Ford. Don't get me wrong, the price on the Gladiator is too high (at least MSRP). A small premium for features like the removable roof is acceptable but not the gap they're asking. But man... unless you can pay the majority of the price up front... with today's interest rates I'm not considering anything. I bought my Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel about 16 months ago and could lock in 0.9% financing (and I paid $60K)... I've checked with my credit union and they're not offering anywhere near that rate today.

@@PeakDecline Well put, I wasn’t talking about any of the AEV stuff but yea they are all to high really. I was hoping the gladiator would have got an updated engine option. I was hoping for a hemi or the new hurricane. I don’t care about the removable top but I do like the aftermarket support for the Jeep. 4” lift and 40’s no other manufacturer can or will be able to pull that off.

Rocking the curls. Casey the jeeps are overpriced. Gladiator especially. I love my Gladiator but all the medium size pick ups have declining sales recently. Even the redesigned Nissan. High high interest rates. No one wants a electric pick up. Males almost exclusively buy the Gladiator. Women buy the electric Wrangler. Ford is losing billion on their electric pick up. It towed a trailer and only got 50 miles of range. They can put it on the Gladiator and it’ll stay on the lots.

As for perfect tent, why bit try out some ground hot tents ⛺️. Honestly the weight savings are astronomical, frees up roof rack for actual storage and the dollar savings is huge. Especially if you are always changing tents. Im afraid to move to a roof tent. I dont think Id run one if it was given to me. These jeeps drive heavy after adding all the gear let alone adding awning and roof tents. Thats just my opinion driving the older 2014 JKUR.

Soemtime I use a Shiftpod, but honestly with a lot of places we go, weather conditions, ground conditions, animals, and being always on the move, a quick to setup RTT is hard to beat.

@@Casey250 in my opinion a quick move is the only benefit to a rtt. I might eventually jump on board with one. But ikamper and roof nest at 5k plus. Its steep purchase in the unlikely event I dislike it. Then Ill be stuck with something I have to struggle to sell. Until Im proved otherwise I cant come to the terms to call up modula racks and pull the trigger on one. And believe Ive called a few times for quotes etc. I was so close to getting one on 2 occasions. Im just so comfortable on the ground with my xped mats etc etc. How do you like your shift pod? I see that Brad from trail recon uses one here and there as well.

It's good when the weather is good. I prefer to integrate my RTT into my over all setup and it frees up valuable space inside my Jeep by storing all my sleep setup. It can also be wiring for power and solar and lights. Ground tents in the mud and muck and snow get really dirty and then shoving a wet muddy tent into my jeep is less ideal. I dont mind using the shift pod with my Gladiator where I can strap it on the box.

Personally I think we'll still see a 4XE Gladiator by 2025. I think the engineering and design portion of this is likely done already. And that the exact release is more a combination of supply chain management and regulatory navigation. There's a limited amount of batteries they can make right now and they're picking and choosing which models get those batteries based on immediate need (which is based on market demand, fleet fuel economy regulations, etc.). At least for the US the shorter the wheelbase a vehicle has the more imperative for it to have better fuel economy numbers due to how it impacts the fleet fuel economy number for a manufacturer. The Gladiator can get away with having poor MPG, the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee cannot.

Yeah tried renogy 2000w and the 1000w dc to ac and it kept faulting out my Delta 2. Works great with my river pro but not Delta 2. Working with ecoflow tech support to resolve the issue. Renogy washed their hands of it.

It needs to be a pure sine wave inverter on anything with a LFP battery is my understanding. Modified sine wave ( as the jeeps inverters are) won't charge them.

Having a normal production car charge on the go using solar is never happening. We already have the greatest technology for vehicles, its called the combustion engine, literally takes 2 minutes to get 300-600 miles of range. nothing is beating that. we're good for thousands of years, plenty of fossil fuels to last
