It is easier to use this device if you put your socks on before your pants. Also, if you're putting on compression socks, this also works, and what is particularly helpful is to put on rubber garden gloves that have some texture on the palm side. Using the gloves, you can work the sock up a little higher, then using the palmer surface, smooth them up your leg to your knees. Unbelievable how well this works without pulling and tugging on your stockings.

Hey thanks Doc! I'm waiting for hip replacement surgery your instructional video was very helpful. Do you have a video on weight training do's and don'ts after joint replacement surgery? You look like a lifter.
@More4Life10 ай бұрын
I don't have a video on that. It depends on the surgical approach they use, and each has different precautions. As your surgeon and your PT about the precautions before surgery, as well as for a timeframe when they'll allow you to return to lifting weights.

Would this aid work for ladies tights or is there something else that would help? I fell and broke my hip and just cannot reach or cross my legs.
@More4Life Жыл бұрын
People use them to put on compression stockings, so I imagine it would work for regular tights as well.

I have stiff ankles, among other things. I have tried the terry cloth sock aid and never was able to get it to release the sock. Only worked for me with a stiff plastic aid and hand lotion.

This helps me, as I have hip.issues and PN, and I wear long socks. My question is in regards to my man, who has bad knees but wears those little short sport socks that have no leg part. Any suggestions for him?
@More4Life8 ай бұрын
I wish I had a great trick for that, but I don't. Here's a video with ideas to help get the knee bending better so he can reach his feet though: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWfGgK2QqZ2Fr5o

That "pin down the sock" move did not really work for me. I had the range of motion to just lift the leg and take the sock of before I was able to pin and slide. The stretch for putting socks on worked nicely however. It doubles as some excerse whhile dressing.

WHy didn't your camera person show you slipping your fot into the unit? That would have been the money shot. For people with diabetic foot, they need to know how easy/hard it is to finesse your foot into the assembled unit. Miss op. :(

If you can't put on your socks how are you going to cut your toenails.

look my friend either you are just a hater or maybe jealous? but those are not from retaining water. they look solid and the rest of his body is pretty much normal to me. my buddy I grew up with had small shoulders but his arms were big and he had a 19'' neck but he's a pretty small guy. people grow different and here you are with nothing better to do but talk smack? Karma catches up to all bullies. you naughty lil boy.
