It stands for "Good Game". It is common etiquette to say "GG" when you are about to lose and then quit the game honorably. So not GGing is like saying "I'm gonna be a dick and not leave the game just to spite you"

@@CristalianaIvor Well it kinda depends on who calls the GG - the winner or the loser of a game? If the one losing is calling GG and surrendering, he's honorably admitting defeat, but if the one winning calls the GG, it's more of a "ha, me won, give up already / you lost, haha!".

It is proper etiquette for the loser to call gg, followed by the winner to to inform that it was an honorable game as well as it was in fact a "good game"

@Tim Thorson it's like going back to the roots. Remaking a video they made back in the days where they were young, but with how mature they are now. 🙂👍 Also youtube's algorithm doesn't always show the old stuff. It was pure luck that I stumbled over this video. And since I posted this 9 months ago, and you are the first to reply, then maybe (just maybe) there are a lot like me that are missing out on this great gem 🙂👍

"The Photographer" wasn't actually a Dirt League production but was created for a competition called the 48 Hour Film Festival by a group including Rowan (DRTsorak) and Alan (DRTfootman). You're right that I haven't personally done any videos playing the game itself, partly because I think there's already a huge amount of in-game content out there and I'm such a scrub player anyway (Silver league). Do you think there's a place for arcade games? I love Colonial Line Wars and Squad TD.

Man, I remember one SC match the I was a zerg against 4 players Terran and protoss. This was expansion days and they ganged up on me but I made a second colony on the outskirts of the map as they wiped out my primary base. So as they battled it out I was advancing quickly as I destroyed my buildings as they wiped me out for resources. I gained controll of both protoss and Terran builder units and now I have combined all three races under my control. The last person just straight up quit.

Fair call. To be honest a lot has changed in the group since 8pool; originally it was a collaboration of 6 people and we threw ideas together and the magic happened. These days Rowan (DRTsorak) is the only one with enough time to put significant hours into the videos, so he ends up being creative director. So the group has shrunk in half and the dynamic is entirely changed; the content has changed because of it.

This would be even better if Viva wrote it from the perspective of a Terran who dislikes lategame zerg and toss. Terran can fly buildings to the corners of the map making them the ultimate no-gg race.
