Usually it is whoever is on the top of a stack. It could be a desync/lag problem, otherwise maybe ppl target him on the stack on purpose.

there should be an imposter role that if it stands around one player for long enough, it reveals the role of the person its standing next to and it should be called the marinator. The revealed role can then be guessed in meetings

Also, last game, why not ask Janet who you got teleported with? You were running with Janet as you got TP'd round 1. She could've said who you swapped with, unless she ironically was the transporter. But since she stayed quiet about that by herself instead of instantly helping out crew, I'd have been sus of her too. (haven't finished watching yet) And now that I've finished watching it makes total sense. Junk was Swooper so probably invisible for Janet? Or maybe you were already just outside her vision due to desync? Either way I'd have tried to ask Janet, maybe she saw who you got swapped with. Good guess from not-Transporter 5up on Junk though lol
