Dang that is sketchy as F&%K, I would have moved the red truck up a couple of feet. I got a ticket for doing something similar to this in Euless TX. Demoed a concrete pool deck and needed to take it to the recycler. Wrote me 3 tickets for (truck bed overloaded) (trailer overloaded) and ( combined overloaded) $1200 later....learned my lesson.

@@TCNW22 How often and weight is a question. I went from a 2015 1500 to a 2020 2500 6.6 gas and love it night and day. I dont plan to tow more than 10K, maybe 12K fith wheel down the road once in a while. I have 60K on mine and so far no issues. I choose gas for the simplest design, and Im not towing day in and day out heavy. 3-4 times a week I pull a 7K enclosed trailer with a compact tractor inside and it pulls/handles like a dream. GM did a great job on the 6.6 Gas over the 6.0. For my uses the fuel mileage wasn't that different. the 1500 did 18-20 with summer tires, 15-16 with winter tires sometimes 14 if Im idling it long. The 2500 does 15/16 with summer tires 13/14 with Falken Wildpeaks in the winter. My buddy and I just did a trip to PA to pick up a 2 new trailers 3K empty with his Duramax 3500 2021. He got 10-12 mpg, I got 8-9. We were doing 70-80mph. For the price of diesel and that minimal increase in fuel milage Ill stick with my gas until I get over the 10k daily limit.

It looks like you like to party! The trailer axles were at their weight limit with the empty truck on it. Then you proceeded to put 4000 lbs. more on it! A brave move on your part. As for the 2500, it probably has a cargo capacity of 2800-3000 lbs. You only exceeded that by 5500 lbs. or so. Again a brave move on your part! Does brave equal smart? Not so much. I'm glad luck was with you.

Yeah I was looking at this going wow he overloaded a truck that was on a trailer that was already close to overloaded. Then put the truck further back on the trailer only increasing the amount of sway it would see and then overloaded the the white truck too. I’d bet money he didn’t buy 10 ply tires either. With 6 tons of gravel a 2000lb trailer, a 4500lb truck he has exceeded the weight limit of the truck by probably 2500-3500lbs exceeded the load limit of the red truck by at least 2500lbs, the load limit of the trailer by 2000lbs and the cargo limit of the white truck by at least 2-3000lbs not too mention the load limit of the tires. So smart.

Is the 6.6L Gas better than the 6.6L Duramax? Will a 6.6L V8 tow with a landscape and a dump trailer pretty good or do I need the 6.6L Duramax to tow my landscape and dump trailer? Which one should I get?

The gas won’t pull better than the diesel. Ever. The diesels are making 1000+ft lbs of torque. That being said the gas HDs will hold their own. Sounds like for your application a gas 2500 would be plenty.

Gas truck would be perfectly fine. My father has a 22’ custom with a 6.6 gas, while he doesnt tow landscape trailer he owns and operates a fiber optics company, 16 foot trailer, a big case trencher tons of tools and cable/pipe and it doesn’t struggle at all. Averages 11mpg’s, truck sees lots of hills and tows amazing
