I own both the 2021 Tuono and RSV4. They are the same in a good way, but they are also different in a good way. That motor..... I can't get enough. The higher bars on the Tuono, smaller fairing and different power delivery create a different experience. Other than that, it's just really cool to have them both....

@@rohansapha1608 it really depends on the person, not just the height. You need to try one in real life. I was pretty comfortable on the RSV but my i started feeling my wrists fast. The tuono felt great but a bit too straight, i would need to lower the bars for a more aggressive feel personally at 6 foot

I’ve the 2021 standard Tuono and I just got the 2021 race map and Akrapovic carbon exhaust installed and it’s transformed the bike. The noise it makes with the baffle out is savage and the sound it makes when you change gear with the quickshifter is unbelievable. Best sounding bike I’ve ever had.

I have 2019 Tuono and adding race map and pipe which has been mapped at factory is a must. Not just the sound or power. It actually makes everything smoother in terms of power delivery. And finally that sound makes me smile every time!

I agree completely. I also own a 2019 Tuono Factory with the race ecu and Akropovic pipe. They made a huge difference to power delivery, sound and weight. I dropped 10.25 lbs off the bike with the upgrade.

This is exactly what I did! I have a 22' Standard Tuono V4. Flashed w/ akra exhaust, pro brake adjustable clip -ons, and a few other little mods. Changed the riding style a lot more than I thought it would but honestly, it's absolutely perfect now imo.

And don’t think you can just let a gas station pass by to go to the next one when the fuel light turns on! On my 2018 RR I basically have like a gallon or less once that light turns on. Already ran it out of gas when I first got it (luckily I was literally able to coast it into the gas station)!

I just bought the 2021 Tuono Factory. Absolutely love this bike. Chose it over the Ducati Street Fighter, Triumph Speed Triple RS, and the BMW S1000R . Best decision ever. So much low end grunt and holds the corners so well. The only down side is the wind pressure on any speeds above 90 are horrible. Had it up to 146mph and it was brutal lol. You don't need to add an exhaust, just unhook the cables from the exhaust flapper and the sound is much better.

Nice one lads!! I think the Tuono was always a slightly toned down version of the savage RSV4, all generations having less HP than the 'full fairing RSV4s. Yeah looks like the peg positions is very much the same across the model range. In a nutshell, whether it's 175hp or 201hp or even 217hp of the 2021, the RSV4 motor is the best of all bikes out there. I have the 186hp 2014 RSV4 Factory, tricked up pretty much to the top and I have to say the sound and performance on track is better than anything else I've ever ridden. I would not ride any other bike. I absolutely love my Factory. To round up the Aprilia RSV4 in four words 'race bike with lights'

My 2019 Tuono RR has 32,358. Miles on it and my only problem at 28,000 was the quick shift plunger. The bike runs like new maybe better because it's broken in. I run back roads and 10 track days a year so it gets run pretty hard. I love this bike

I have the 2020 Tuono and the 21 RSV4 Factory. Obviously the RSV4 is a better bike all the way around. My Tuono has clip ons but before the clip ons was a much more comfortable bike on long trips. But I also caught alot of air. Both bikes also have the same MPG's too! Not that that matters though lol. In this comparison you are comparing the newest Tuono to the previous gen RSV4. All 2021 and up RSV4's come with 217 hp!

The only reason I’d say there’s a difference between the RSV4 and Tuono is that I’d ride the Tuono and I wouldn’t the RSV4. I just can’t do the tank planking. I’m curious if the roll races comes down to the race ecu? I’ve heard there’s a delay with the throttle and that it restricts power in the first two gears. That could be why the RSV4 looks like it’s getting shot out of a cannon every time.

You guys gotta stop following the "categories" of motorcycle, i.e., sport bike, naked, sport tourer, cruiser. etc., and get creative. A turbo-Hayabusa is boring. I have a long-distance touring high-powered sportbike. Started with a Tuono. Found an extra rear seat in a junkyard. Bought that seat and used it as the platform for a custom welded frame to mount two Givi side bags and a top box. (Yes, this is a one-person motorcycle now. Took the rear footpegs off.) Added an aftermarket USB port to power the GPS held in a RAM handlebar mount. Added an SW-Motech tank ring with an Ion tank bag. Taller windscreen. I now have a 175 HP torque monster tourer that, even with two full 36-liter Givi bags and a custom-designed top box that used to be a Harbor Freight copy of a pelican case, will tangle with anything in the twisties. This bike is good for long trips, all to the musical tune of that wicked V4 exhaust note. Think outside the box, guys! Nobody makes the motorcycle you want - build your own! (And start with a Tuono.) For the "yeah but Italian reliability blah blah blah..." I own three Aprilias, and the fourth (Tuareg 660) is arriving next month. 2008 with 30,000 miles, 2015 with 20,000 miles, and a 2019 with 10,000 miles, and not a single problem with any of them.

I'd recommend being a little more knowledgeable before stating RSV4 and Tuono are the same and not just handle bars. You should of mention their are pivot adjustments at the swing arm, engine mounts, and steering neck on the RSV4, not on the Tuono. There are several differences between the motor that is not about the cc, RSV4 has secondary injectors, Tuono doesn't, the air box design is different, compression ratio is different, cams are different. Transmission ratio is different. Yes I own both an RSV4 RF and a Tuono Factory and yes the Tuono still kicks a lot of ass on the track.

my 2019 rsv4 rr with race ecu bumped it from 201 to 217 and from 88 to 90, puts it at the same years rf specs, yes you can notice the race ecu, thats possible due to the 11lbs i lost change my exhaust aswell. but bolth bikes are sick,

You guys are a bit wrong about the frame differences. The frame of tuono and rsv4 is different... At tuono you can not adjust the motor high and swing arm angle and front wheel rake-trail. 🙂

Any issues with hot start problems with your Apriias? As the EVAP system would lock up the bike when it was hot, and it would not start unless you opened the cap and equalized the pressure. My RSV4 did that all the time......
