Can the Avenger 85 handle some Miles

Welcome you Motorized Bicycle Junky, Family, Friend, and/or CO-Workers. Thank you for your support. I wanted to create these videos to showcase What’s up everybody! Hope you have been well. In this episode, I wanted to see how the Avenger 85 would do on a longer ride. Let's just say we have not been kind to this motor. I have taken the time to break in all my motors but not this one. We have been twisting the throttle back since the second ride hahahah. But hey, what can you do when time is limited and you need to get that Motorized Bicycle fix in!! Hope you all enjoy the ride!

Nice ride I've been watching from the interdiction of your avenger 85 and the up and down so I've just tested a vm18 carburetor on my phantom 85 and sir it's one of the knock off but copy to the best level the real one is about 120,00usd so my 48,00usd is just right for my pockets it's the best upgrade by far better than a bofang cab💯👍

I guess my question is what's the sprocket? 32? You definitely live in farming country with rolling hills and good roads, nothing too steep. And not all the traffic many people are plagued with 😅

I'm rocking a 36 toothed sprocket. I do on all my bikes. I'm very blessed with nice roads and little traffic 😌. And most people love seeing me on the bike, especially dad's when I drive by them. The town is built on a rolling slope, hence the 36T. Thanks for commenting and rip it up! 🙏

hell yea and that's with upgraded head and pipe, stock carb still, and unported cylinder? Try upgrading the carb, you should be able to get some more mph. Porting also.

What pipe do you have on the engine that doesn't sound stock

I'm rocking the gomax industry MZ65 pipe. I had to bend the hell out of it to fit the bike. I was hoping to put this motor and pipe onto the F-Zero, but the header is way too short unless you use the U bolt mount and change the petal crank gear to a much smaller one. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 thanks for the support 🙏

What do you think about the internal components of the engine? - the 'Raoul Duke' channel recommended to swap the stock needle bearing with a wide V3 Phantom bearing.

Wrist pin bearing 12 mm is the same size as the ones that they use for the phantom 85

Chain is waaaay too tight, could cause your bearings to wear out prematurely, everything else is solid tho

Thanks 👍 😊. They are some after market rims. The Banshee Queen is a Schwen from I believe late 90s. I bought it from a guy with a 50cc motor in her for 150. Got supper lucky. Personally, I stay away from aluminum frames because they shake so much. But you got to run what you have. That's not counting frame with the build in tank.

hey man , i have an avenger on the way and i see that you have been working out all the little kinks as you go. i was wondering what would be you advice to a new owner of one of the engions ?

If this isn't your first motor, then you know the basics like cleaning the piss put of it with a solvent, I like to use gasoline for a few rences. Then I rinse with a gas and oil mixture to put oil back into the bearings. next, the biggest concern with the Avenger 85 is that you need to determine your piston squish gap to avoid the piston hitting the head. After that, you should be your Magneto gap as well.I do know some have come a little off.I did not have this problem.I hope this helps great luck to you.Keep me posted brother🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

@@grendelsgarage9723 finally have it all together and after tryin out a few different expansion chambers this thing is a beast... i did some slight port work with a smolik head and i think i'm going to upgrade the carb next ,, altho i do have some hard vibration on the top end and i have remounted the motor twice and its still the same , dose yours have a vibration as well /and to confirm one of your videos i purchased mine through california motorbikes and it came in the exact same box as yours and everything appears to be the same .

It all depends on your end goal my man. I do feel that the Avenger 85 is the most bang for your buck. From what I can tell, it's not the most Torquy motor, but it will flat go ones you're going. I think the minarelli still is king 🤴. Just note that I haven't ran one.

@@theLyzhendricks Heavy modifications on the motor. YD100 takes a lot of work to get to those speeds. A shit ton. Avenger 85 can get to 30-40 stock. Some simple mods or upgrades and you’re looking at 50mph

Straight up, I am not a fan of the Bo Fang. I'm running it because it can with the kit. They struggle with air flow, so try removing the air filter. I've not ran a YD 100 so personally, I can not say. I do think sasquach8869 is correct. They are work...
