Can the Floyd Rose FRX do Dimebag harmonic squeals?
That is one of the most asked questions I have been getting since I did my review of the bridge. Although my harmonics style is a little more Reb Beach or Mattias IA Eklundh, I do my best to answer that question with no words in less than a minute!

Awesome video. I wish the Floyd rose Rail tail would do the same, but you can only divebomb with it. That’s okay - only leaves room for you to be creative with it. Great vid.

Thanks for commenting! I'm not sure if the FRX would go on that guitar without some modification. This is designed to mount to the stop tail not the bridge. If I'm not mistaken, that guitar is string through body rather than a stop tail. If it has the stop tail, it would absolutely work. If it's string through, you'd have to carefully drill a couple of holes and install bushings for the posts. Regardless, it would still be the easiest way to put a Floyd Rose on a hard tail guitar. Hope that helps!

I have an issue where it goes sharp when I pull up on the bar. I have to wiggle it for for it to come back into tune.

I'm glad to say, I've never had a serious problem with tuning when using it. How do you have to wiggle it? I know that most floating bridges seem to have a different resting point when you pull up vs push down on the bar. If I pull up, usually I will give the bar a quick nudge down just in case. I have heard of others having a more severe tuning issue with it. Mine never goes out by much and all it takes is a little knock down to put it back. Same with most of my original and licensed floyd rose bridges.

@@TristanRiversMusic with what you described maybe it's normal then. i just dip it down to bring it back in tune. its really annoying so i just have the thub block up. it stays in tune fine its just that one problem. which is a big deal considering its price.

Really tempted by one. How much does it affect the action? Does it make it harder to get a lower action as opposed to the stock TOM?

I think it really depends on the guitar. To me, Gibson Les Pauls seem to have a decent variance in neck angle from one to the other. That would have an impact on the action I think. The Studio I put the FRX on seemed to work very well. I installed it in no time and had it set up and playing nicely. From what I gather, some people weren't as lucky with their guitar? Mine plays great. I can get close action and enough travel in both directions with the bar to do whatever whammy antics I want. Thanks for watching and for the question.

Thanks for watching and commenting! The answer is maybe? It depends on the hardware of the guitar. I answered a lot of those questions in the video I released after this one "Top Floyd Rose FRX Questions Answered: Take 2" . Ultimately, if you really wanted to install a floyd on your guitar I would guess the FRX would be the easiest. Even if it requires modification and a tech to do it. The design requires a lot less drilling etc to install than a standard floyd rose bridge usually would. If your guitar fits the requirements to properly install an FRX it is very easy to do with almost no alterations at all.

If your a good guitar player you csn do dive bombs on any tremolo system that can go both ways, i can do them on shitty fenders or shitty sg guitars, i can do dive bombs just using my whah pedal and some finger trickery
